in the process of piecing this car together I got the brackets today but no hardware. I don’t have much for random nuts and bolts at my house so I have to go out and buy them. I have just received a €300 speeding fine from the Germans! I have only ever received one speeding fine before. That was when I was 19 years old and driving a VOLVO 140 test car for Laycocks. It was 08.30 hrs, in the middle of nowhere, in North Derbyshire. The police asked what I was doing driving like a maniac, while dressed in a white lab coat. When I explained ,they were very interested, and we talked about cars for quite a while. But. They had to issue a ticket because they were there... Be very careful when driving in Germany!

Anyone have a recommendation as to where I can get a new ce2 mfa screen? I bought a nos board with the screen, but is ce1 clocks and didn’t work when I swapped over alternatively I’m looking for 16v ce2 clocks without selling a limb. Trying to get everything together before winter to start the engine swap on the 8v thanks

Hey guys, I have an 86 Golf diesel with the 90mm flanges and driveshafts. I need to replace the flange seal and the flange itself because it is very worn. It's basically impossible to get a new 90mm flange. Even if they were available, it would cost a $130+ versus a replacement 100mm flange only costing $20. With that in mind, I bought a replacement flange and a 100mm inner CV boot kit. I realize that the driveshafts for newer cars with 100mm flanges were shorter but I found in another... Hi all, I've been lurking this forum since before I even got my mk2 last year october, but now I actually have a problem myself and I can't find an answer anywhere. I own a 1988 mk2 (originally with a 1.3L carb engine), and have recently bought and put in a 1.8L GTI engine with digi 2, and I have the full engine bay loom with it. However, it doesn't have spark and I recently fixed an issue where the injectors would instantly open when I turned the car to ignition. I know for sure I don't... mk 2 1.3L carb to 1.8 digi 2, won't run

I’ve fitted a crank sensor to an 2.0 8v using the mk5 seal flange and a febi 37093 sensor. It looks something like this: View attachment 42270 I have struggled to find a pinout, but Google image search gave me this: View attachment 42271 Assuming this pinout is correct, what voltage does the sensor need, and what voltage should it output? I have put 5v onto the + pin and grounded the -, when I move a spare sensor past a metal surface or wave a magnet past it, I get a... 8v crank trigger

I got some Lucas 54 callipers and carriers off a corrado vr6 2.9. Also bought some 280mm discs 22mm wide. I've ordered some front brake pads which are supposed to be for the vr6, but when I've sized them up against the carriers, they look wrong. Can anyone advise which pads are the correct ones that I need. These pads didn't come with anti rattle clips neither. I've attached images of the pads up against the carriers and you can see that they don't sit inside the groves for the anti rattle... Anyone tell me what pads I need for Lucas 54 callipers?
