No e-mail or phone number on the policy documents , guess Ill have to google it and hope I get the right one

I do have landlords insurance and it was easy to update them. Not so easy to update Arkel as I cant find an e-mail address for them anywhere on the documents.

You mean you would allow it if the freeholder says it is OK ?

Thanks everyone for your replies. I have had further details about the dog and have since contacted the Managing Agent to contact the Freeholder and request a Consent. I have also said I am not in favour but realise the RRA has it’s own rules guiding legislation!

If you were to cut thru a lead pipe and see what it is lined with, after many years use ,you would wonder how you have survived for so long !!

I’m 67 years old and lived in many properties with lead piping and I dare say there are many older people that have. It’s never bothered me and as far as I know it hasn’t had any ill affect on me despite the fuss some people make about it.

You have to get the new pipe from your stop valve to just outside your boundary 900mm deep and they will do a free connection

If so , how do I contact Arkel to do this Well suppose there is an issue with the rented property that Arkel are insuring, or at end of year they write to you with updated premium details. Wouldnt it be better they already have your new address so any correspondence actually gets to you?? Tell anyone you have financial dealings with [inc tenant and agents, bank, mortgage lender, insurer etc] your new address. Also be sure to tell Land Registry, for all properties you own, otherwise can be difficulties in future [for example if you want to re-mortgage] Bev1: how do I contact Arkel to do this? You may need landlord insurance, which usually differs from domestic home policies by adding tenant and third party cover. Find your existing policy and phone them.

use a different workphone with a video call, or a different sim in your phone with a separate whatsapp account for the different tel number? (if you are going to take on a tenant you will need them to have contact details of some sort for emergencies etc anyway tho?) good luck
