I started this LED landscape lighting project about a month ago and the lights from Kichler finally arrived.. these are low voltage lights but I needed to install (2) transformers because the HO didnt want me moving the new pavers he just had installed(but stupidly forgot about LIGHTS!!).. so there you have it..each one, (16) in total, was a fight to the death.. compacted QP stone dust and gravel made simply “pushing the fixture stakes into the ground” nearly impossible.. had to dig out for... Hey Guys, I've got a very unusual troubleshooting issue that nobody can wrap there heads around, maybe someone here would have some insight on what is happening here. Location - Los Angeles Service - LADWP, Westinghouse Mechanical Meters. Building - 28 Unit building built in 1991. 20 units are 1 bedroom (40A MB), 8 units are 2 bedroom (60A MB), (100A HP). 600A Main. Have a square D current transformer 9070tf150D1 with a resistance value of 23.6 ohms from L1 and L3, line to line. Also have continuity. It first appears to be an issue and in other places it is known not to be an issue. I am finding this confusing. Please adise

I have seen a post or two about this, but I would like some specific feedback on it. There are opinions out there that vary widely on this topic. My longest extension ladder has been on the top of my van for 10-11 years. There is no major cracking or other damage to it, which is great. It really is great shape. However, it does shed a lot of fiberglass when I use it, which is very uncomfortable for the rest of the day. 😎 I don't mind replacing it because safety is of great importance to me... I have new LED Bulbs in an old (40 year perhaps) Outdoor Fixture topping a Brick column. Two lights, two fixtures, two Brick columns, one switch. Switch shares a box with another switch for interior shop lights. LED's continue to glow when switch is off. Cutting Breaker stops them, otherwise they stay on. Ideas? Current leaking from other switch in box perhaps? I have heard LED's are sensitive to current leaking.

I've had rough luck with my Knipex auto-strippers on 18 gage TEW. Sometimes it works if I put just the right 'english' on it, but it has not been an untrammeled delight. I just got a new pair of auto-strippers. This is the Jokari Super 4 Plus. Considerably more compact than my Knipex (this photo doesn't really make it look that way, but the Jokari is about 25% smaller, I'd say. A debate cam up about the unnecessary changes in the NEC over the years etc.. Where its not a safety focus book anymore that is more politics and money making products. One guy went so far as to say that the 1996 NEC is really all that was needed for the safety, with only local amendment for a solar if that LOL 🤣 because all the expansion of the gfci and afci , tamper resistant receptacles crap he says was not needed. I think 1996 is going back to far lol, but I think I did like the... What old Code cycle would you keep of NEC forever if you had a choice?

I would like some input from the vets in the forum. Went to an estimate today. Older 200 amp panel. There are double taps in the panel, all the tandem spots but one are taken, two electric ranges, two hot water heaters. The house is 2800sqft and the basement is finished and that is about 500sqft. My gut is 80 or 100 amp sub panel to make room for the new EV circuit and to clean up some of the double taps in the main. My struggle is the load calculation and what size charger to recommend. I...
