What I can say is that the Biltmore event in the States only matched a tiny fraction of the normal volume for a US event. Best guess - 100K pre-off. Perhaps not even as much as that. All the money was on the BMW. I didn't trade either, so I was just interested in volumes on both, really. Done a lot of golf this year, and I just didn't fancy doing the PGA stuff.

Hi Dallas, Sorry, that's my fault — my opening post left out a rule. Yes, by "gated" I mean conditions. Yes, three rules are involved in closing. The full list, in order (screenshot attached): 1. Place Lay Bet on Favourite — −15:00 to −02:00. £10 lay on position 1, offset 3 ticks with greening, stop at 10 ticks. 1 trigger. 2. Fix Order of Market Selections — −15:00 to −02:00. 3. Greening Close (pre-off) — −00:30 to −00:00. Close Trade On Selection With Greening, 5 triggers, 3s rearm. Conditions: unmatched bets on the selection > £0, lay price 1.29. 4. Safety Close In-Play — +00:00 to +05:00 in-play. Close Trade On Selection With Greening, 5 triggers, 5s rearm, betting delay ticked. Conditions: matched bets on the selection > 0, lay price 1.29. 5. TakeSP — +00:00 to +05:00, back bets only. 6. A signal-only flag rule, which places nothing. So when the offset fills, the unmatched > £0 condition stops rule 3 firing at all, and the book is already level. When the stop triggers and its back bet doesn't fully match, rule 3 fires and greens what's left. The question underneath all this is simply: is that the right way round? Or should rule 3 wait until the stop has finished working before it greens, as support suggested in April?
