Prior to this years' national, I finally got around to putting the tip-over bars on my C-10 that I had sitting around for a year or two. I also swapped out the Shinko radial up front with a Metzler Lasertec to better match the bias Commander 2 I have on the back. After the rally I'd decided I would sell the C-10. So, I have this quality aftermarket switch in the fairing panel. Apart from looking and sounding cool, I don't know what it does. The bike doesn't have any accessory lighting. I don't want to take apart the fairing panels to trace the wires. Anyone (non C10 guy type curmudgeons welcome) know or can offer a guess of what it could be for?

Is this really the OEM petcock for the C10? There is no label for prime or reserve. Does anyone know how far to twist this to hit reserve or prime? I was wondering this as I push the limits of the Concours touring range between gas stops. Also, is there an accepted volume of gas held in the 28 litre tank before the reserve kicks in? I am getting a consistent 55 to 56 imperial miles per gallon on the secondary highways and thought to calculate a range. I use the fuel gauge as a guide moreso... Read more

threw some 2" heli bars on today. went for a quick ride after. they're pretty sick. makes cornering feel smoother/lighter in bar input. when I get my Russell in September, i'm getting the extra padded height to minimize knee bend (****ed knees 53yr old). tried the murphs, but didn't dig how they set my foot angles. put the stocks back on. if anyone interested, I'm down to sell those murphs. holla a price

I somehow stalled my bike in 1st gear on a hill at a traffic light today. The engine quit of course. When I tried to shift into N, the bike wouldn't cooperate, and of course, it would not start. I tired to shake it loose by bumping the starter but nothing I tried seemed to help. I tried to let it move backwards so I could get out of traffic, but no luck. 08 Concours 14 ABS, I have a throttle issue at 3000 RPM, no matter what gear, only happens when its hot, fuel cap open or closed. Runs great at start, but when she gets hot i get this issue. I stop and turn it off. Let it sit for a while but still the same issue. Will run great all morning. Just not when its hot. I have read through the threads but this is a sporadic issue. Thoughts? Thank you.
