Didt know if to post this in weight loss forum or not, mods if it's needed to be moved or deleted please do so As you know I have a ED for. Which im getting treatment for. Part of it is snacking at night. Can't stop it so in my onlin shopping I order extra bags of salad leaves and if I have the urge to snack day or night I have one whole bag which are very low in carb. Hi. I wanted to check something. I'm type 1, use an Omnipod, very overweight and I have bad control of my diabetes. My insulin needs are high which over the years has caused the weight gain because I'm constantly hungry. At my last appointment the nurse suggested to the consultant that I could possibly benefit from the injections to help with my insulin needs The consultant didn't seem bothered about prescribing them, all he kept telling me was to wait 20mins after taking insulin before... Hello! Thinking about trying some Hyrox style classes - been back out running recently, and at the moment find I get to about 5km, then dip down to levels where I need to stop. Try to eat a banana about 30mins before I go, then a couple of glucose tablets to start and prob 3 or 4 as I go - still seem to drift low, then have spike later on once I’ve finished! On MDIs - does anyone have any tips for trying a 45 min class? Thanks!

I have bile acid malabsorption , diabetes type 2 and pcos /pmos. May I ask if others with three combined found it hard to manage medication , and if they benefited from visiting an endocrinologist. I can not get an appointment with my GP (and previously the GP had not actually heard of bile acid malabsorption and completely ignored the fact I should have likely been prescribed metformin a decade ago for pcos and pre diabetes ) and pharmacy advised I see them or a specialist. I have had problems previously with Metformin but have recently been put on 2 grams! per day. Am feeling dizzy on and off and wake up with a mouth like sandpaper

today is Novo's capital markets day in London where they're exploring their therapies the feed online is a bit intermittent. In the pipeline, they are saying that oral insulin in type 2 diabetes is to be taken forward into phase 2 trials, I think, If it gets through trials, which is still a big if, then the cost is likely to be a serious obstacle to NHS adoption and ?dietary adjustment might be necessary eg taking it half an hour before other food similar to oral wegovy they mention the... Morning all, I have a question re carb counting, for breakfast specifically. I've been experimenting with a healthier breakfast, 2x weetabix biscuits + 1x small banana the last few days. I've been injecting 5 units Humalog (calculated c. 49g of carbs for this meal, using the ratio of 1 unit of insulin for every 10 grams of carbs). Good morning everyone. I have recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I am just over the threshold from being prediabetic. Foolishly I didn't educate myself enough when I was pre, and here I am now onto the next stage. I am working on it and educating myself this time. Hopefully I can get it into remission. One year ago I put on a libra for the first time. Had a fight to do so as staff/ some nurses were not happy with me doing so. But an email to the hospital diabeticsclinic stating my case and keeness soon put to that. My first one i made a bit of a balls up on placing it on my. Arm. Now I can put it on half asleep and in the dark. I always put it on my left arm making sure I rotate sites. I self fund as under NICE guidelines im not entitled to it on prescription. After my postponed yearly diabetic review the nurse handed me off to my GP to finish it off as I needed to discuss other things. My HbA1c has been 86, 51, 50, 49, 55* and now 51. GP thought I'd benefit from 5mg Dapagliflozin. To be honest the list of side effects she was required to tell me about kinda scared me.
