Hi @emily21 two important factors is heat, which changes cannabinoids, needs to be below a certain temperature else it gets destroyed ( THC/CBN degrade above 300°F to 320°F (149°C to 160°C) ). When mixing the concentrate, for gummies for instance, needs to be mixed well for consistency. That came from my good friends, mama-g.co.za who do craft edibles on a small batch scale.

I got the little pink tweezers. Swipped from my wife 9yrs ago. They have tinybtips perfect for pulling seed skins off.

grizzlyhigh: should it be scrapped No dont scrap it. Its a living plant now. I always grow the crappy seeds first. I mean there now doing well but they made it and therfore deserve to live. Im partial to the underdogs of seeds. I never grow the beautiful seeds first. I always grow the worst looking smallest pathetic seeds first. Im weird like that. Take the shell off carefully. Try and hold the whole seed shell and use the edge of the tweezers or a sharp object and pull the shell half away from the other half. If the seedling wants to spring the leaves open then help a little by removing the seed skin a little to let it open. If it wont just open leave the other shell half on it for the night. Make sure it stays in a dome. These seeds were all stuck. So i use tiny tweezers and a pick to remove the seed skins and shells. I drop them on the ground below the plants.

Im just a consumer. But this is guaranteed 100mg per 2oz pour. Id say there probably right on target with actual cbd/thc content due to strict laws.

Mark0427: drink alcoholic beverages I drank for years was an alcoholic. I just stopped drinking all together back in 2013. I hate beer loved liquor. I was so bad i worked at a liquor store as a second job. And i was an amateur bartender. I could whip up some seriously awesome drinks. All bad stuff. I wish i never drank. And i wish i never smoked cigarettes. I quit those foul things but i liked to smoke. I liked to drink. Drinking was a lot harder to quit than smoking was. I would drink right now lol. But i wont jeopardize all these years of sobriety. One year me and the wife were camping and she had a mikes hard berry drink. Smelled good i grabbed it took a sip. Didnt swallow my wife eyes were HUGE and then i spit it out. Taste pretty good! Lol no way im drinking any alcohol.

Curious to hear from people working on the processing/manufacturing side. When you buy a bag of gummies labeled, for example, 10mg THC per piece, how close to that number do manufacturers realistically get across every individual gummy? I understand that mixing, filling, temperature, settling, and batch variation can all affect consistency. But I’m curious where the biggest challenge actually happens in a commercial production environment. For those who work with edibles: What part of the process has the biggest impact on dose consistency? And how do you test or control for it?

Yeah as I do. And you make WAY more than I do. I actually only put one in this year outside and only because I wanted to see how that cultivar did outdoors. And the ones in the tent are more than anyone could every smoke in a years time. I don’t mess with hash or extracts or any of that so quantity is not a thing I need. Marty
