Strange Acceleration at Low RPM

Greetings everyone. I'm reaching out here for more eyes to see if anyone can assist me with a problem I'm having after finishing the tune on my 2020 Sonic. Over the summer I heavily modified my sonic with lots of parts from ZZP. I have the current mods in my car, 2.5" turbo back exhaust, v3.2 turbo, LTB and intercooler, 42# green giant injectors, self ported intake manifold, ZZP CAI, and coil pack and booster (these are currently out of the car on RMA for the potential cause of my issue). Along with all these parts I got my sonic tuned by Turbo Tim. The issue: My sonic seems to have a bog/hesitation/stutter that I cannot figure out whats causing it. It often happens when you accelerate lightly off of a deceleration. It bogs down and eventually puts a lot of pressure/heat into my cat if I don't let off the gas and give it more gas once it calms down. What I've done: Tim and a few others have looked over my tune and said everything looks good. I've smoke tested my car and no leaks came back, my pcv system is still intact (swapping out to a cruzekits fix kit this weekend). I've replaced my MAF sensor, and I have a new MAP sensor waiting to go in once I get the fix kit in, I took the old MAP out and it was rather dirty. My spark plugs are coal black on the ring with a bleach white tip ( I put new plugs in and in less then a mile they were already dirty AF). I have seafoam going through the gas tank atm and will do injector cleaner once my tank gets a little lower on fuel. I'll in

Help, I just received my device and it will do the initial read but the instructions say that after it reads to turn off the vehicle and unplug the device and the report will open automatically. It does not open, what do i need to do so i can send it to get my ecm progamed so i can start my delete for my truck?

15 Challenger 392 with cam Warm up open loop tables

On a 15 392 Challenger with big cam, I'm having a overly rich when cold issue until the O2's come online. It is throwing codes p2099 post catalyst fuel trim system too rich and p050D Cold start rough idle, most likely due to the overly rich cold idle until o2's trim it out. Should I be looking at Open loop table in the "Cold/Warmup" tables, or the "Burn fraction Inverse" tables to remedy this? Any input is appreciated

6.2 tuning issue?

I have a 2020 Silverado 6.2 & 10 speed. Did afm delete and stage 2. Everything seemed fine for a couple months and started having shifting issues. Everything with the trans is stock. The issue is when driving around say 50 and I get on it to pass someone and it has to drop a couple gears, that downshift is violent. Any other time it shifts fine. Took at back to the guy that did the cam and he did a clutch pack relearn and it fixed it. A few months later it came back. I took it to a trans shop because I wanted parts in valve body upgraded that are prone to fail. He also had to do the relearn to stop the shifting junk. He thinks it?s the tune so I carried it back to the tune shop and paid the credits to tune the trans and he sees nothing wrong and it?s still doing it. Does anyone think the ecm tune is whack?

2011 Durango V6 NAG1 TCC Apply/Release

Hello all, I've been playing around with this tune for a couple weeks and I'm getting close on the PCM, but have not been able to do any TCM tuning as of yet (read below). Really, I've got a couple of questions but my primary question is: 1. TCC apply and release tables. I've seen other NAG1 Pentastar trans tables and they all have values. Mine is 0 across the board on both tables. I cannot change the values or copy and paste from other compare tunes.. Why is that? Everything else I can change. Screenshot HPT.png Other questions: 2. I was not able to read the TCM from the start and still cannot. I would get the infamous "NO BUS" error. HPT sent me a revised tune to try and upload into the vehicle. That tune would not push into the TCM either. I can NOT get any info out of the TCM. Nothing on scanning, no powertrain codes, nothing. I HAVE been able to pull up various U codes for CANBUS communication errors between multiple modules (though never active codes, always history). It seems as if the trans may be in some sort of limp mode, but does drive sort-of okay. It seems like the torque converter "locks" halfway through 1st gear most of the time. Possibly does this in 2nd as well. Fluid is at level but could be changed. I also hear a small pump growl which I think is from the trans but may be power steering actually. 50/50 chances on that. I'll be trying to track and trace the CAN systems for problems, starting with STAR connectors. All harnesses, grounds, look good. The fuel p

Pcm noob

Not sure where to post this message so I hope this is the proper forum as I can not really find anything on the web site.| I'm not a totally useless but when it comes to PCM programming you all may as well call me that. No right to be doing that. Said that I had build/re-build few cars all of them carburated with exception of last one with LS1 where I had PCM programming done from a service place to remove VATS and remove some other stuff. Anyway on with new project (mychimaera.com) that I have L99 out of 2010 Camarao which is mated to manual transmission from Audi. Anyway getting to the point. I figured I wanted to explore in getting E38 ECM converted to stand alone my self as most likely I will need to have few parameters changed few times and will not make sense for me to pay $200 each time. Wondering what do I exactly need to connect to the ECM. Is HPtuners strictly software or a combination of hardware and software. Can I use a freely available OBD adapter of I need the MPVI interface. Sorry guys as I said, totally noob Thanks Jerry

Cruise Control Switch

Hi Everyone, I'm new to HPtuners and looking for a little help. I've searched the forums and haven't seen this exact question posed before. I bought a '99 FRC M6 that had Cams, Intake, Exhaust and Supercharger added. While I'm generally very happy, with the car, there are a few things I'm working on fixing. One of the first things I noticed was that the cruise control did not work and there was an active TC light on the dash. There was a P0704 error logged, which I initially thought would be relatively easy to resolve by adjusting the switch at the top travel of the clutch pedal. I did that and nothing changed. I was playing with a few other things in HPtuners over the weekend and thought that I would confirm if the switch was not activating ever, or if it was an intermittent fault to help with troubleshooting. Unfortunately, I cannot find that status bit / switch anywhere in vcmscanner. I pulled up the cal details and from what I can tell, the transmission code does match a manual car, although in the transmission section, I see mostly automatic parameters. Being a new to me car, I'm always a little leary of the tune and so I'm looking to confirm that this OS / tune is compatible with the M6. If it is, does anyone know if there is a way to monitor the clutch switch at the top of travel? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Brad P.S. I grabbed this tune file in the middle of adjusting idle fueling, so there are some jumps there that I am currently smoothing out. I'll try an

Gen V GM Fuel Injection Timing (SOI & EOI)

We have been getting a lot of tunes in recently that have been tuned from other locations and have noticed that a majority of people out there tuning are not correctly addressing the Start of Injection tables. This can be from lack of knowledge or just bumping it up trying to get the Injector Pulsewidth down. Just thought we would offer a write-up describing how the SOI/EOI tables work and why they are important to make sure that they are correct. Keep in mind, you can get a vehicle to hit the correct AFR/Lambda at WOT, with no spark knock, and everything seem fine even with the SOI tables being incorrect. However you will see very nice improvements in both horsepower & torque, as well as other areas when you properly tune the injection timing. To make sure this was a very easy to read and laid out, we plugged in all our data and information to chat GPT and let it organize it for people to read, so I apologize if it seems very "AI" organized and using obvious AI grammar/structure. Why Injection Timing Matters on GM Gen V Direct-Injection Engines Injection timing is one of the most important?and often overlooked?areas of calibration on GM Gen V direct-injected engines. Properly controlling Start of Injection (SOI) and End of Injection (EOI) can have a significant impact on horsepower, torque, drivability, combustion quality, exhaust odor, and the usable capacity of the vehicle's fuel system. Unlike a traditional port-injected engine, a direct-injection system has a limited amo

Can someone enable the EGR for me to make my wideband read

Can anyone help out to enable my EGR on my tune so I can read my wideband. I am not able to with my version of Hptuners Editor. It is AEM 03-300 and is wired up correctly to pcm. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have attached a copy of my tune file. Thanks Attached Files Darcy Trans Am 2004 PCM manual segment swap.hpt (293.3 KB)

6R80 - first tune - base on AI

Hello fellow tuners, I need your advice and help. I wanted to tune the 6R80 transmission on my 2014 3.7 Mustang (5th generation), because when shifting into 6th gear, the RPMs flare by about 50 before the gear engages. It got on my nerves so much that I replaced the entire transmission along with the torque converter. Unfortunately, it didn't help, so it is possible that the car already has some modified SW, but I cannot verify that. Based on this, I decided to proceed with the help of AI and go through the tuning step-by-step in detail. We made the following changes, see the info below. I am attaching both my original and the modified files. I want to achieve faster shifting while ensuring that 6th gear engages quickly and smoothly. Naturally, I am hesitant to just flash the modified file, so I am asking for help to see if someone could double-check it. If someone knows how to do the tuning properly, I have no problem paying for it, but I am mainly interested in whether my logical approach was correct or if there is something blatantly wrong and dangerous. Modifications made in HP Tuners: Torque Reduction (1-2 to 5-6): Straightened the power reduction curves for full load, removed deep dips and curve crossing at high RPMs for stable behavior (e.g., leveled at 210 Nm at full load). Skip shifts (blue maps) were left in factory settings. Clutch Fill Time (1->2 to 5->6): A blanket and conservative reduction of piston fill times by 5% (coefficient 0.95) across all gears to reduce

Needed help for Cruise Control on T56 or a proper segment swap

I am trying to make cruise control work in 5th and 6th gear on my Gen 3 6L with a T56. Everything including the clutch switch is wired and functional. The cruise works in 4th gear. I have done the manual transmission segment swap from a truck, but it still will not work even if I change the transmission gear ratios to match the 01 F-body T56. Can someone help me out or have the proper segment swap file for the 6spd that will work? I have OS 12587603 and attached my tune.
