Another update as of today: RC 4.3.2 does not improve the situation, installer doesnt start and when i hotswap an installation from a similar machine, it doesnt run either. I had small hopes since fedora with kernell 7.2x is actually starting to run nicely with this model, but more time is probably needed to have it work with qubes.

Likewise why are there not more optional templates offered by default and instead we have to manually import @unman ’s and verify keys. If minimal templates can be installed without much effort then why not the rest? Forgive me for asking questions on the qubes os forum, but this doesn’t seem time consuming or difficult for developers to add. What has actually changed in qubes the last several years? I appreciate regular updates but overall there’s not much that the user would notice.

Who said anything about debt? Its in the interest of the qubes team to listen to its userbase and take any recommendations seriously. I am so fed up with making excuses for everything and everyone due to that “no one owes anyone anything here”.

To my surprise the implementation was a bit trickier but manageable (I got a beta version implemented already working on my machine). I do not have the same processor as your, but i do have Series 3 processors. And i can say that the 386 chip does not run with qubes. It does with fedora, not with qubes. Not even 4.3.2 RC. Installer doesnt even run. So thread carefully
