Forgive me if there is a very simple method to do this. I take delivery of a UFX II tomorrow, and am already having great results with my UCX II. I have a house with several great-sounding, different-shaped rooms, but so far I have only recorded in my main little home studio. I want to record keys, electric guitars, drums in the usual room with the UFX, but I also want to try adding the vocals and acoustic guitars in the other rooms, to see if they sound better in there, and have some variety in the overall sound. Obviously, I need to record these parts on the UCX with DuRec to exactly the same bpm/tempo. Is it possible to record just a click track into the UCX, before taking it to another room and singing/playing ac gtr with that click in my headphones? I have never used DuRec, let alone in another room, so I am new to this but love the idea. Thanks for any advice!

Just got a UFX III and spent hours yesterday configuring the settings to control my 12Mic and get the layout just how I like it. I stored my layout multiple times after tweaking it and it all disappeared after a reboot today. Is there any way I can retrieve those configurations? If not, what do I need to do differently to save them after I redo them? I'm no TotalMix expert, but I get by, and I don't recall this ever happening with the UFX II I just replaced. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! TotalMix FX v1.991 x64

Hi everyone, I have a setup with a Fireface UCX II and a pair of ADAM T7V monitors, and I'm experiencing an issue with output headroom/crackling, along with a question regarding gain staging for dynamic mics. 1. Output Crackling Issue (T7V + UCX II) Interface: Fireface UCX II (Line Out 1/2 set to +13 dBu) Monitors: ADAM T7V (Gain knob set at the center detent / 0 dB mark while +18 is the max) Measurement: Calibrated with a miniDSP UMIK-1. An average output of around -20 dBFS in TotalMix yields ~75 dB SPL per monitor at the listening position. Problem: When increasing the master fader in TotalMix FX towards -11 dBFS, audible crackling/distortion begins coming from the monitors. What could be causing this? Could this be input stage clipping on the ADAM T7Vs due to the +13 dBu reference level, or should I be looking at clocking, buffer size, or analog gain matching? 2. SM7B + sE Dynamite DM1 vs. UCX II Built-in Preamps I also use a Shure SM7B along with an inline preamp (sE Electronics Dynamite DM1). Given that the UCX II preamps offer up to 75 dB of digitally controlled gain with very low self-noise (EIN): Is there any practical benefit in terms of noise floor when using the inline preamp (+28 dB boost with ~25 dB UCX II gain) versus plugging the SM7B directly into the interface and applying ~50–55 dB of clean gain? Does cable quality/length make a noticeable difference in noise pickup in either scenario? Thanks in advance for your insights.
