Sorry if I came across the wrong way, it wasn’t specifically directed at you but it’s just frustrating when your AI actually made a mistake and actually then wrote a lengthy question it asked you to post on the forum, but the mistake it made was very simple and just proves it doesn’t have a solid knowledge of SambaPOS. Especially how it mentioned using log4net - something nobody building with SambaPOS would even need to use - it’s wasting time trying to debug SambaPOS and work out “bugs” that don’t even exist, then report those “bugs” here. That’s my reason for saying why I was quite hesitant to even reply originally because your AI is wasting people’s time (not you personally). I have personally used ChatGPT to help with some very complex SambaPOS functionality and it can be pretty decent in it’s response, but I also feel without my own underlying experience with SambaPOS, I would still run into problems because it has invented tags or features that didn’t exist. I was able to spot that and correct it, but someone who hasn’t used SambaPOS before wouldn’t catch that. If you’re planning to use SambaPOS in your business, I’d really recommend you spend some time learning the basics - trying some of the great tutorials on the forum here can really build up your knowledge. Good day Mark, Thank you for responding and yes, you are correct that this was AI generated. I grew up in an era without electronics and have not had much opportunity to learn which is what I am trying now with the help of AI instead of wasting everyones time here on the forum. This is also my very first time asking for help on any digital platform. I do however want to thank you for responding as my tips are now correctly allocated to Corrie’s account and I have even been able to add a second waiter tip account successfuly. Have you tried TI? I tried it before but found certain aspects a little slow. I might need to have another look at it since they brought out a new version. The demo certainly looks promising. The issue with Jetrik is it doesn’t seem to come with native iOS and Android Apps. I know a company in the UK where you can pay £30 a month and they will build you a (good) food ordering site and apps for both stores (using your own developer accounts). All branded and you can white label it and resell it. Even use Stripe Connect and charge commission to keep, and make quite a bit of money. I won’t name them as I don’t directly deal with them, and doubt it will be welcomed by this site’s admin to advertise. But they are not very hard to find online. The benefit of TI is you are in control and nobody is going to come along and buy the company or jack up the prices. Although there is a big overhead in maintaining the thing as you point out.

Update – Microsoft have now fixed this issue Microsoft have confirmed that the WPF TrueType font-subsetting bug introduced by the August 2026 .NET/Windows updates has been resolved in the September 2026 .NET Framework cumulative updates (released 8 September) . This was the issue causing SambaPOS Document Printer templates using fonts such as Calibri to fail with errors such as: CALIBRIB.TTF file does not conform to the expected file format specification So if you are still experiencing the problem, install the latest Windows/.NET Framework updates and reboot the PC. The workaround I posted previously, which changes affected printer templates from Calibri to Arial , is still perfectly safe to use and does not need to be reversed. However, once the September update is installed, Calibri should work normally again. I have tested this on a system that previously reproduced the issue, and Calibri printing is working normally again after the September update.

Rean: [:OverpayAmount] I was really debating with myself whether I should bother responding to a clearly AI written post which has clearly just been copy and pasted here (hint - the bold “title” was supposed to be the subject…), but anyway… You are passing [:OverpayAmount] to the “ACT - Tip to Corrie”, i.e. you are essentially passing nothing to it. You actually need to pass a value or tag there. Maybe you can ask your AI to learn more about SambaPOS first before it generates false messages to post on the forum due to it’s inability to actually understand what it is supposed to help you with, or use a better model that actually has the capability to search the forum and knowledge base so it won’t make such silly mistakes like this?
