Game Ideas
FPS game about snowball fight

Hi (all), I’ve got an idea for a non-violent 3D FPS shooter game, set in a snow-covered winter landscape, with no campaign, focused mainly on multiplayer, but with the option of bots for offline play. The essence of the game would be a ‘snowball fight’, hence the non-violent nature. The player models (which you could choose from in the menu, with models for both genders) would take the form of small till teenage children who would throw snowballs at each other in the game. The camera should have two modes, depending on the game settings: whether the player wants a first-person view or wants to see the entire back of their character’s model (third person view). Perhaps it would be possible to switch between these views using a button during gameplay. Various snow-covered parts of modern-day cities, as well as rural villages from past centuries (ancient-themed), would serve as maps. However, the maps shouldn't be too large, so that players don't have to search for each other too much in case there are only a few of them playing. In addition to the snow texture, the floor should feature patches of ice on the sidewalk; if the player were holding the sprint key (with the default movement being a walk— albeit a slightly brisk one), they would slip, causing the camera to jerk upward toward the sky and slowing the player down as they slowly picked themselves up after the fall. If player was holding a ball while running, they drop it upon falling and must make a new one. Each player w

Field of Glory II: After Action Reports
COG - Pyrrhus

I've recently begun a playthrough with ilpars of the Pyrrhus scenario included in roguedjack's recently released Campaigns of Glory. I am playing Pyrrhus and ilpars the Romans. As COG doesn't support online play, ilpars is running the game in hotseat mode and I'm submitting orders via PM as I receive updates from him. 280 BC Our opening diplomatic overtures to Thurii are rejected. The Romans have more luck and successfully woo Asculum to their alliance. We recruit a 1200 and 700 pt army in Tarentum. The Romans recruit a 1200 pt army in Maleventum and a 400 pt army in Rome. We attempted to march to Venusia, but bad roads and weather delayed our arrival, only to find the Romans had marched there from Maleventum. With more friendly areas nearby, the Romans ended up with 1500 pts to face our 1300 pts on a hilly Mediterranean battlefield. The map of the area

Battle Isle Total Conversion - Problem with new 3D-Models (not replaceing existing Models)

Hello! I am currently working on a total conversion for PC2 based on Battle Isle 2/3. I have already converted all the Battle Isle 2/3 assets into high-quality 3D models. They work in PC2, but I have to "overwrite" an existing model to use them—which isn't really practical given there are 63 models. Many other attempts to import completely new models have failed so far (usually resulting in crashes in the purchase menu). Mapping new unit types via `Units.csv` works fine. So, here is my question—one I haven't found an answer to anywhere else: How can I integrate completely new models into PC2 without overwriting existing ones? There must be some central registration files or similar somewhere... I hope you can help me; otherwise, I’ll have to switch to *Order of Battle*, which I’d rather not do since PC2 is more modern.
