Looking to see if there are any Georgia folks here that might be interested in teaming up on a hunt out west. Possibly South Dakota. I have a 16 month old GWP GWP and plan to take my 16 year old son with us somewhere this Fall. Hoping to add some extra dog power. Please shoot me a message if so.

My dog added a little more weight than I should have let her - totally my fault. Just curious how to manage and what to expect. She is 5.5 English setter and fixed. I am cutting back to 1/2 cup twice a day + pumpkin and green beans. I am also place training her, so she gets a handful of food throughout the day doing that. How many use different guns during the season? For instance, using a 20 gauge then switching to a 12 gauge. Or, shooting an over/under then switching to an auto loader later in the season. What is your reasoning? Once gas prices come down I’d like to maybe buy a 20 gauge.

Posted about the sliding vest issue the other day and got some great feedback on the belt keeping things in place on these technical vest. I’m doing short hunts. Hour or more or less and back to truck. See plenty of talk about the final rise summits but what’s the reviews of these smaller vest? Can they fit a pheasant or two for these quick jaunts? I like the size as I’m a small guy and don’t like too much. I’m hunting woodcock and quail mostly, anyways.

I am in the market for a new e-collar. I have Deutsch Drahthaar dogs. We hunt everything. I have always used some sort of track and train collar with vibrate, beep, zap, and a beeper. I like the mile range just incase I loose a dog, but I don't like them more than 75 yards away. I have an old sportdog uplander 1875 (2 dog). I’m still rocking a simple strap vest. Haven’t upgraded to some of newer market entries from the last number of years that have become popular. With the hip belt, does that keep them locked in place? Get loaded down in game pouch and my front pockets are up at my nipples and I don’t have boobs.

Mine needs replacing before next season. The one I have now is about 20 years old and has been patched with zippers replaced more than once. I asked for a new one for xmas but my wife was uncomfortable buying it for me, so she told me to buy the one I wanted whenever. I am looking for one that has orange shoulder patches/back and pockets in front. Not the shell loops. Those wear out too quick. I am 6'2" and 210 pounds. Price tag is not that big of an issue as it will last for many years.
