Eisy going on and offline this morning. No apparent reason. Just checking to see if anyone else is having this problem.

When backing the eisy-ui the back-up file name only has the date, not the date and time. If you do more than one backup on the same day, the previous back-up will be overwritten. The time should be appened to the backup, same as admin console backup.

I have not yet found a means to copy a program text on EISY-UI, so I have a screenshot. I have a program that has been in place for several years and has worked as expected. I wanted a program to close blinds at 8pm or sunset, whichever is later and this program has done so. It has even worked as recently as a few weeks ago. No changes have been made since first creating it. The program is below. I expect this program to trigger at sunset, 8pm, and 11:59pm. Tonight (it is now 9:41)The program shows last run at 7:36pm (presumably the calculated sunset time) and ran false (expected). I expected this program also to trigger at 8pm and evaluate true. Yet, it apparently did not. Blinds are still open. Last run at 7:36 was false. Did something change in the program logic execution recently? Am I missing something?

It would be nice to have a comprehensive user manual for eisy-ui, and for those of us who are used to the old admin console, a cross-walk document that tells users how to accomplish via eisy-ui all the things that could be done under the admin console. My current question is about how to view level 3 (device communication) events live, as was possible in the AC under tools/diagnostics/Event Viewer. No shame if this isn't available yet -- but I hope it's on the dev list if so.

Is there any way to reset the “Home Page” count / start number? Not a problem just an annoyance for those OCD types, like me. I was playing around with the new UI, adding and deleting new pages. I deleted all the test pages I made including the original home page. Playing around with the “you can’t delete function until you have a new home page” function. I’m back to a blank home page with all child pages deleted. My now, new, blank home page has “ http://192.168.1.21/favorites/5 “ as the starting point. Any way to set it back to 0 or 1?

Why isn't there a post on what the latest update was?

Hello, following the announcement of the java based dashboard I have re-attempted(after years) to connect to https://eisy.local/ without success and again getting the "site not available message' I am using firefox and have also tried with chrome from 2 different locwith the same result. the Eisy version I run is IoX v.5.8.4 and have had no success attempting upgradie it over the years always getting a message "upgrade being installed' but never happening. -Please understand I am not a skilled programmer so I may be missing something simple!

Most of my keypads (2334-2s) are configured with the backlight off when the key is off, and the backlight bright when the key is on. However, the ones in the barn are configured to be dim when the key is off, and bright when the key is on so that I can see the buttons even when the lights are off. These were configured years ago under my ISY. The minor issue I am having is that I do not know what backlight settings these keypads have. When I click on the keypad in either AC or EISY-UI, the backlight setting is 0/0, not whatever is currently set in the keypad. Querying the keypad doesn't update this. I assume that the bright/off keypads are 7/0 and the barn keypads are something like 7/1 or 7/2, but I don't know this for sure. Is this by design or should the AC and/or EISY-UI display the current backlight setting? If by design, is there a way to determine the current backlight setting for a keypad? I can of course change the setting by trial and error to replicate the current setting, I was just wondering if there is a more direct route.

Is it possible to adjust the width of individual columns in eisy ui with out having to widen the entire eisy-ui window

Hi, I am running my Eisy 5.9.1 and it works but am falling a bit behind in updates. I use it mostly with home assistant but do use the app periodically if something gets missed (insteon command, etc). I have it controlling my lutron and a few other items but wanted to check about if it is 'safe' to upgrade with the growing pains. It seems to work for what i need but want to make sure if this is a 'if its not broken dont fix it' or a your missing out on new features. TLDR - is it safe to upgrade to the latest or hold off? Trying out eisy-local: Trying to open program, get error message TV Room Table Lamp Error loading variables (1) with all programs, they do use state variables. Programs open for editing just fine in the JAVA screen. The status displays correctly on eisy-local but I get the error message when I click on the program.

Someone may have posted this before but it would be nice if the WIKI were updated to add the 'missing' step: After fighting for too long to try to change the default name of a variable to one that was humanly recognizable, I finally found what I had missed, not made clear in the WIKI! Open the appropriate variables page, in my case the state variables. Click on the line of the variable you want to name, it turns red. Click on the name box, which turns white, type what you want for a name (I still don't know must it start with a $ (yes I could have experimented) nor what the maximum length of the name is. But I changed the name in the box The instructions say you must save it, so I clicked on the "save" box on the bottom of the page. But when I closed it and reopened it, it hadn't saved it. Why, because of the missing, not instructed step: After changing it, you must click on the line again (turning the whole line red again) before saving it. Then it will be saved and appear with the new name where it is used. If the WIKI were amended to add that you have to click on the line again after changing the name before saving, it might save people like me from hours of frustration!
