I'm posting here because this is where I believe the issue has led me. Hardware as shown in the signature. I have 2 machines with identical guts except vid card, Desktop (DT) and RaceRig (RR). RR blue screened and I couldn't get a repair out of it. Did a clean install, looked good, and when I loaded nVid drivers, it blue screened again. Pulled the vid card, used mobo vid, and then the new install worked fine. Wish I'd done that first! nVid drivers still installed, tried 960 from DT, wouldn't even post. Remove, all good. Tried a spare 1080, booted fine, but no vid from the card, only the mobo. The diag code on the mobo indicates that it's happy. That's 3 cards, old ones granted, but the 960 is back in DT working fine. 2080 started up in DT, but blue screened in 5 mins, very hot. Power supply? Bad graphics slot? Bad 2080? I know everything here is outdated, and there's the win10/11 issue, but the RR runs (ran) iRacing at 90fps on triple 27s with most eye candy on, was always good... Read more

I did choose "replace" with the template-editing-tools - and subsequently it looks like so and after all - i saved the whole thing but - after that - the image did not change at all. Question : why is this so - why the image does not change!? I have an older AMD E-350 2 core/2 thread cpu w/ 8 gigs ram...was running Linux Mint XFCE on it and it did decent on web-browing but stuttering in videos at 720p. Suggestions for an updated Linux version that is slightly lower than Mint XFCE. Just want to browse and watch movies on.

I recently reinstalled Windows 11 Pro and noticed that right after the installation the Recovery partition was 780 MB. I then installed the drivers for my components in my system and then performed the Windows updates. After I finished installing the Windows updates, the Recovery partition resized to 887 MB. Did a recent Windows update resize my Recovery partition and if so is it strange that it did that? Also note, that this is from a debloated custom version of a Windows 11 ISO I created using Winhance and installed the OS from a flash drive I setup with Ventoy. Also, when I created this custom ISO using Winhance, I set the updates option to only install security updates and not install feature updates. Is it common for a Windows update, even if it's not a feature update, to resize the Recovery partition? Does this mean my actual main Windows partition became smaller if the Recovery partition became bigger since these two partitions are right next to each other? Is my... Read more
