I sail on an inland, man-made lake that straddles North Carolina and Virginia. The lake is managed by the Army Corps of Engineers. The normal level is 300' above sea level, known as Full Pool. We are having a drought, and the level has been falling rapidly. We're now at 290', about 9 feet below where we usually are at this time of year. Our marina has floating docks.
