Today I was with the wife at a local farm and ranch store kind of like an overgrown Tractor Supply but add guns and ammo. While the wife was looking at some clothes I had a guy walk by and he was open carrying what appeared to be a a Ruger Vaquero in a home made holster with the leather strap/string over tge hammer like in a western rig. I am definitely all for carrying what you can but I dont know about this carry option. My parents have been shooting in SASS for 30 years and have met lots... Intresting carry today

Saw this video discussing if the G19 is obsolete with the new 15 rd G43X/G48 mags.

I‘m looking for opinions from hands on experience as to the best overall officer sized 1911 in 45 acp. I feel like the commander is a bit too big and heavy for EDC and that the officer size would work better but I have very little experience with them. Is the Colt Defender the one to look at. Thanks

If you were to own 1 9mm pistol from H&K what would it be? I owned 2 hk45c and realistically it was a fun gun. But if I was looking to get an 9mm what H&k would I get?

As the title says, these are a couple of recently acquired CMP 1911A1's. The first is a Service Grade with a Ithaca slide and Ithaca frame. A nice tight gun with what looks like a new WWII issue Colt barrel. The second one is a Field grade and has a Colt slide on a Ithaca frame. I was digging through my safe for my Mosin M39 to post some pictures of but when I got to this I changed my mind. Its basically parts I bought one at a time and screwed them all together. The wood is British L1A1 that I refinished, the receiver is a Coonan type 3 FAL (metric) the mag is metric, all else is L1A1 parts (inch). The lower is nos Australian and the barrel is made by Parker Hale. Parker Hale made replacement barrels for Britain when they had stopped manufacturing their own. Almost... FAL/L1A1 How's this for an assortment of parts I screwed together.

I have a factory Mossberg 590A1 sbs that I want to put an optic on. I’m stuck between the rcr or the acro p2. There seem to be more mounting options for the rmr footprint as Scalarworks and aridus don’t seem to have a solution for the acro but vang comp does. I think the general consensus is the acro might be slightly more durable but is it even an issue as the rcr seems to be about bombproof. Which optic would you choose and why?

Picked this up at wallymart. I put on two light coats letting each dry, need to apply a third to fill in the serrations a bit more. This paint really pops in the sun, but I was having trouble seeing the screen to get a decent pic. Also put it on my Tisas army model and it made a world of... Little paint does wonders.
