Hello , here's a minimal acoustic version of Sting's pop/jazz ballad. I kept it pretty simple with only L/R nylon guitars , upright bass . mixed back kick and cello. I think I'm ready to finally purchase a dedicated laptop that will be used strictly for working in a DAW. I did read through a couple of threads here on the subject. I expect to continue to capture performance data and do all tracking with the Tascam DP-32SD and then import those .wav's into the laptop DAW. I recently inherited a Tascam 424 MK1 that had been sitting unused for years in a house with heavy smoke exposure. I've been slowly cleaning and restoring it. As the title suggests, I am just getting into home recording. It’s been quite the journey reading, watching, etc. over the past few months. I’ve recorded many times in pro studios so I know some of the things to be aware of.
