I drove 2 1/2 hours on a twisty, curvy two lane road through central Portugal yesterday. Lots of pot holes and patched pavement, which I tried to avoid as much as possible. About every 10 minutes the car would chime and say “You should consider taking a break” - WTF? Because I’m crossing the center line? Sorry, but that’s how you drive on this kind of road. Is there a way to turn that irritating crap off?

I just bought this Kia used with 105,000 miles. The Check Hybrid System alert comes on intermittently. The seller tells me this has been going on for a long time but there are no engine codes and it has not been a problem. What should I be watching and checking for?

I have 95k miles and never got the transmission fluid changed. Not sure if the dealer checked it last time I brought it in for service. I will check it asap I read it should be pink and clear and if it’s dirty it should be replaced ? also do you take it to the dealer for this? I have a valvoline oil change spot near me that does transmission fluid service but not sure if it’s necessary to go all the way to the Kia dealer service center for such a service.

Hi I'm from Van Isle and this is my first EV. I'm charging at home currently with a 110 extension cord setup. I haven't decided on what type of level 2 charger I'm going to do at the house whether I use the twinning, the dryer plug or adapting a 30 amp RV plug that's outside already.

I have an inexpensive OBD2 scanner which reports no error codes, but does allow me to turn off the MIL. Today I went to an O'Reilly Auto Parts store and they performed a complimentary scan which indicated no Diagnostic Trouble Codes even though the MIL was illuminated when I arrived at the store. I'm replacing my OEM tires (after only 29,000 miles), and I'm debating between Michelin Defender 2 and Pirelli Scorpion All-season Plus 3 . My two chief concerns are: 1) MPG . I definitely don't want to reduce my mileage, in electric or gas mode. 2) Road noise . This is important to me, though secondary to the above. Does anyone have experience with these tires?
