Copying this over from reddit. Im having issues with either the front brake or my frontal lobe. 1988 KLR with sv650 fron brake caliper mod (put in by previous owner). I had issues with the front brake a couple weeks ago. Checked the pads- left pad was loose inside. The nubs werent holding onto anything, only the ring on the pad. I took it apart, and found the retaining spring had broken. Replaced the retaining spring, put it all back together. Now, when I press the pistons down on the... Why am I dumb? SV650 front brake issue.

Hello, New member and first time owner of a KLR. I've been lurking here since before I bought my bike. Love the information available from forum, so I decided it was time to join. I've been riding dirtbikes for many years but never had a street bike. I liked the idea of being able to do both. I bought a new 2025 KLR650. I've had it about a month and a half. I've been commuting to work on it but haven't taken it off road yet. Loving it so far! Ive been getting ~ 50 to 52 mpg on my commute... New Member

Bought a used 650 mid summer, a few days after I got our son a Honda 50 so him and I could do some dirt biking together. Also looking at getting back into running a small beef cow / calf farm, and it’s a lot easier to move cattle around with the help of a dirt bike than it is on foot.

I own the klr since 2020, i had a few trip with it is really like that bike, the simplicity the comfort the fact that i can go anywhere and not been worry. It's a good bike for my need.

It is my second klr 650.My first was a 2001.I live in Ontario Canada.Just got my 2011 and want to find any problems and updates I could deal with. Looking forward to participating if I can.

Just bought today- 08 KLR650; red, white+black. 27k, Doohicky+ thermobob done, new chain+sprockets, Delkevic exhaust (long can), UNI filter, Cogent shock, Sargent seat, wide pegs, bar risers, BarkBusters, hd skid plate, tall windscreen, tire pressure monitor, Tusk tires. Jeesus, is there any thing this old pig doesn't have or need other than a younger, stronger rider? Cmon, only 76. Time for color rides on some local CO passes! Was $2100. delivered too much? haha... me on left and ole Burt-... Greetings! here with my 2008 Kawasaki KLR650.

This is my 7th KLR I got it 6 months ago a few. modes Exhaust, Leds running lights, windscreen with adjusters new tires since I dont go off road anymore...way to old. Really need smothehing smaller even though its lowered two inches. Anyone want to work up a trade for a smaller bike In in 27603
