I finally got my Elizabeth Zimmers Pi shawl done! Mine is made in worsted weight, (probably red heart) I bought a couple of blankets from thrift stores and frogged them because I wanted the pretty yarn. Colors are dark purple looks plum? and Orchid. I lost at yarn chicken so I bought the orchid to complement. I used the EZ 100th anniversary pattern Hearts and used her border from the Knitting Almanac. EZ 100th Anniversary PI... Finally finished my Pi Shawl!!

Here are a few projects I test knit/crocheted recently. I was reminded from another post I hadn't posted these ones here yet. They were easy to make. This is a wrap I made some time ago, but just recently blocked and added fringe. I am not a fan of fringe but I loved it for this one. It is designed by the talented Kaffe Fasset on Ravelry. I made the updated version with most of the colors listed-all Rowan's Kidsilk Haze. The three pictures are modeled by my "Suzie Q"; she went into retirement after my last craft fair but came out to model on a beautiful autumn day. All the expectant mothers in my life are having girls, but I'm tired of knitting with the normal girly colors. This sweater is supposed to have a hood, but I didn't have enough yarn.

Made this for someone fighting cancer. Made with Bernat Harmony yarn. He wanted a blanket to snuggle with on the couch with his significant other and their dogs!

I was busy last couple of weeks crocheting more little stuffies for give-away at Christmas. The last one is a big brown dog that's laying down. Different than what I usually make. Just finished this small cape. It is my attempt to finally use up some scraps of gorgeous yarns which have been sitting around for years. 4 different yarns: 2 are multi-coloured (Louisa Harding Mazzo ); 1 is self-striping/gradient (Louisa Harding Provence ); and 1 is solid ( Pima Colada by Plymouth Yarns). Thickness/weight not all quite the same. They have a bit of shimmer/sparkle not visible in... Openwork Cape Shawl by Katherine Eng.

Finally added the buttons to these. I‘ve been inspired by Deegle and use a basic pattern (I used Marianna Mel’s) and add some details. Marianna's Lazy Daisy Designs | free modern baby knitting patterns

These were in the library case. My mom did the blue penguin.

Did I ever play yarn chicken. 4 colors and I ran out of 3! My bindoff is actually a different yarn I had to start. I will use this pattern again and again. It is a mindless knit and great stashbuster. Using this vintage mohair is like stroking a pet to knit with. Yes I had to tink when I ran out of a color. Now I would like to try the same pattern in a long colorway yarn as the pattern calls for instead of creating my own stripe pattern. This is now a gift for a dear friend of a dear...
