I haven't built anything serious for a long time, so I thought an out of the box could be a start and if I'd ruin it, so be it. Not least, was also lured by Eduard putting a label 'Weekend edition' (which was a trap, or it has to be a long, long weekend) So, not yet fully complete, but looks very much like a Hellcat:

Any idea what this colour is on the engine cases. I come across it a lot on bikes and cars, it looks like a king of graphite maybe ?? Often see it on raw dark alloy castings like gearboxes.

These are such an eclectic group of models that I'm putting them all in one general post instead of scattering them all over hell and gone. Hi guys, I have tried to make this. I have tried to find references here on how to do it. I have tried to find a solution or materials online. I have looked on youtube for instruction. My search skills are not great anyway, but I want to make working hood hinges for my car. I need a rivet or something with a head on both sides that holds two pieces of PE thickness metal together that allows it to pivot and move. I have tried fishing line, styrene rod but the heads are often too big and the... Read more

I have set the 251 aside for a little bit. The complexity of doing the interior and hull has stressed me out to where I just have to do something else for a little while. I bought this from @ Greg Kimsey a while back as something a bit different to build. The last few weeks it has been on my mind as a follow up to the Pak 40.
