I've been offered some really cheap juveniles, but don't they grow to like 2m? Though iic most captive bred fish get smaller than wild caught/bred fish, so how big would a paddlefish get? i am building a 4.3x3.4x1.3m pond, though if it gets any bigger i can possibly rehome it to a much larger mud pond.

I’ve been considering setting up a 300–500 gallon tank. I have the room for it, but I’m a little concerned about the ongoing costs, especially the electric bill. So I was wondering if there was a accurate way of sexing Jewel cichlids as I have no clue how to tell the difference if there is one thanks in advance for any help

Flowerhorns are becoming pretty darn popular now.. noticing more and more types, traits, colors, etc. But also, hearing from many more people on their flowerhorn dropping dead randomly, seems like most barely make it to 6-7 years. Good evening! I work at a Steel and yard and wanted to build my own aquarium. So I have been! I read a ton abiut plywood aquariums but hate working with wood. Its 96.5" wide, 36.5" tall and 26" deep. Well I am almost done setting up the 300 and wondering what to do with my 120. Either a single fish or I was thinking, could I get some live bearing fish like molly's ect for the purpose of breeding and feeding them to my monsters? Thoughts? More work then worth ?

The outdoor fish season is beginning to wind down here in Canuckistan. Nighttime temps frequently hit 10-12C, although most days still warm up into the mod-20's. I have now removed large amounts of excess hornwort, duckweed, hair algae and cattails from all outdoor ponds at least a couple times this year, will probably still cull more duckweed before the fish come out in a few weeks time. I hear these two get large but will they get large enough to eat adult bush fish?

I've seen a couple of people keeping GT's/bigeye trevally in freshwater, mainly juveniles since some are found up in rivers. I have also seen some GT and bigeye get to 40cm, and a chinese guy kept a freshwater GT and bigeye in a megatank, they were like 50cm more or less? Does anyone here have like media of someone keeping a GT in freshwater for years maybe? thanks.

I just saw for the first time a fish store selling giant trevallys(GT), does anyone know if they can go in fw and or how big they get + growth rate
