575/588 : Hull Windows Leaking

Author: Wild Subject: Hull Windows Leaking Posted: 01 October 2026 at 19:09 the issiues with the Lewmar paint are not new, you can find many topics on the forum about this. Lewmar declare" installation errors by Hanse" I declare" Lewmar junk" the allu frames are not proper prepared for the painting, the paint comes of the frames Result water get between paint and frame, corrosion and finaly leaks over the past years we replaced then all, unfortunate by Lewmar thers no other choice

445/455/458 : rudderstock grouding

Author: Bakep Subject: rudderstock grouding Posted: 01 October 2026 at 17:15 Thank you for the answer and it was by seeing these photos that I realized that a cable was missing But my question is where the other end of the grounding cable goes that starts from the rudderstock ?

345/348 : Wiring to Cockpit table

Author: JoergFischerDE Subject: Wiring to Cockpit table Posted: 01 October 2026 at 17:11 Hi all, Given a Hanse 348 with installed B&G Zeus Plotter. We are about to add a radar to the configuration. The wiring diagrams seem not to be really clear in terms of how to get the cable to the plotter in the cockpit table. My assumption is that the cable goes down the portside table foot and then is accessible from the portside aft cabin (there is a cover in the top part of the cabin. From that, I assume that I can further push it towards the nav area. Has anyone already implemented that and could provide valuable information? Thanks, regards Jörg Fischer

345/348 : Changing Anchor 348

Author: Mike58 Subject: Changing Anchor 348 Posted: 01 October 2026 at 17:05 Iain. Many thanks. Did you fit the 12.5kg or the 16kg anchor and did it require any modifications to the bow roller? It would be great to find a solution. I do a lot of anchoring and have survived by using a lot of scope but it is not ideal. Edited by Mike58 - 1 hour 37 minutes ago at 18:39

345/348 : Changing Anchor 348

Author: Ratbasher Subject: Changing Anchor 348 Posted: 01 October 2026 at 16:43 Mike - Jimmy Green Marine supplies cardboard templates for some anchor types. While we all have our favourites, I'm particularly impressed by the Sarca Excel which I changed to from a standard Rocna; have a look at Sarca Excel Anchor Cardboard Templates or give JGM a call to see if other types are available. I'd certainly agree that 10kg on a 348 is far too small for anything but a lunch-stop. Iain

445/455/458 : rudderstock grouding

Author: Bakep Subject: rudderstock grouding Posted: 01 October 2026 at 11:36 Here is the assembly of my steering system with the autopilot and the electric cylinder that was added for the rear panel. In this assembly, the earthing of the rudderstock has disappeared! I would like to make this connection again. Can you tell me where the grounding cable initially mounted on the rudderstock goes?

345/348 : Changing Anchor 348

Author: Mike58 Subject: Changing Anchor 348 Posted: 01 October 2026 at 10:11 I have tried to change anchor on the 348 from a 10kg to a 15kg. Displacement is around 7tons fully loaded and the 10kg is a little small - both in weight and surface area. However I have found it difficult to fit a new anchor. The 15kg Lewmar anchor has a very long shank and is blocked by the furler. Looking at the Rocna Vulcan which has a shorter shank - but greater curve - it bounces off the bow when dropping and recovering. Has anyone successfully changed to a larger size anchor?

575/588 : Hull Windows Leaking

Author: speaklevel Subject: Hull Windows Leaking Posted: 01 October 2026 at 07:40 We’re having the same problem with one of the saloon windows. It’s a 2020 Hanse 388. On both saloon windows, the aluminum has oxidized and the black paint is starting to peel, revealing white oxide powder underneath. When the boat was tilted, a little water got in and dripped directly onto the light control circuit board. Now the lights are turning on and off by themselves everywhere and dimming on their own… All we need now is a DJ. So far, we haven’t received any specific instructions on how to repair the window. I ordered a new circuit board for the lighting control system for €500. Does anyone have any experience with this?

445/455/458 : 455 Faucet

Author: marsella Subject: 455 Faucet Posted: 01 October 2026 at 06:49 I got this set in homedepot and dont remember if its SAE or metric but one of them should fit, I remember. I will try to check tomorrow, since I left that one with the boat which is far away but all other should be somewhere in the house.
