Well i think theres a lot more like the OP. Some great posts . Keep well mentally everyone . Its only a game . A game where Port Vale have been consistently more poor, at for many years, at than good resulting in todays current league standing of 91st out of 92 clubs . Its no wonder folk dont want go . I nearly walked away for good last season, stopped going the performances at home gradually got worse through the campaign and v Exeter 150th game when see players strolling about, and showing.contempt for the club i left on 69 mins at 3 down ,then after a week of pure joy as went all F.A cup games,won 2 in a week im bouncing for the Bradford knowing that on there last visit too VP we absolutely had a great night Tolaj and Clark scoring singing all night pure love of the Vale under Moore,. Fast forward too next home game v Bradford listless,absolutely appalling display under Brady left at 2-0 and did not go another home till last one ,(yes i had a season ticket )as felt the manner of the defeat was downright embarassing 2-0 could have been 10 easily as Vale lay down and had there bellies tickled ... So openly come on and stated i was done with club,not the Vale as id always want them.win there or not but here i am(season ticket holder )believing things would be better this campaign . Well there not ,up too yet b

I have no idea what are the figures for this season's EFL2 clubs, but suspect the figure may be similar.

As has been said, they don't need naming. Nobody knows who is interested until the club is put up for sale. Is this seriously your argument? You can't name any potential suitors, so shut up and back the Shanahans? Look at where they've taken us for God's sake. If they act now, and bring in a DOF who can shape the football side we MIGHT still have a chance of remaining a football league club. Would still be a slim chance in my book but its our only hope. How bad would things actually have to get for you to criticise them?

So, to summarise, you and all of the other critics want Carol out. But you haven't got the slightest clue what all of Carol's massive funding and hard work should be replaced by. Because you all think that it's not your job to consider anything real-world and practical like that. You just have to drive the ownership out by a sustained campaign of abuse. Then sit back contentedly and let whatever happens happen under the tender mercies of the administrators. Because that approach worked so well when Bell was turned into V2001, and then when V2001 was turned into Smurthwaite. Didn't it?

@JS Valiant, And the capability and willingness to take on the thankless job of running an EFL club ...? Why don't you name them for us? If you are, as you claim, a genuine Vale fan who wants the best for the club.
