Hey y’all, Not new to the area but just getting back into overland, fishing, camping, etc. since moving to the southeast. Would love to hear your thoughts on where to go first. If anyone is in the area and would like to meet up some time to share some local wisdom let me know!

If anyone has an overland rig I’d like to get with you and plan a trip

Depending on what Memorial Day sales happen I am probably going to buy a new RTT. We prefer the wedge style. I have narrowed down my choices to the following. iKamper BDV solo or Duo 23zero Kabari CVT Mt Hood small Overland Vehicle Systems Mamba 3 Each have pros and cons right now between the 4 systems I am leaning towards iKamper or 23zero but honestly probably which ever has the best sales will be the way I will go. Anyone have any personal experience with these models? Regrets?

An hour of highway followed by a pleasant hour of easy dirt from Port Angeles to the South Fork of the Hoh. Led to a nice but windy at the time, campsite. Notice that the awning in use, the Kelty Sideroads, is shaped like an airfoil. Civilization begins with indoor plumbing.

I often do solo trips at the spur of the moment and would like to keep a go bag packed and in the Jeep. Normally they are 3-5 day trips and my gear is always in the Jeep. I was thinking 4 pair of socks, 4 pair underwear, 2 shirts short sleeve, 2 shirts long sleeve, 2 pair shorts, 2 pair pants, personal hygiene products. Note I always have rain gear, coat hat gloves, and extra boots in the Jeep. Am I packing to much or do I need to add something?

I have a 2013 Suburu outback and looking to get new tires. Looking for a more aggressive tire recommendation. I do a combination of backroads and some dirt roads.

Just in the past two weeks a couple of Overland expos have cancelled. The Mid Artlantic Overland Festival in Pennsylvania sponsered by Mainline Overland has been cancelled. I searched, but the term 'Pony Express' brings up a myriad of random stuff. I want to do the Pony Express. I am in the early stages of planning and I am trying to find the route. I have found a small section of the route, but I am looking for the full GPX file. Does anyone know where I can find it? The NPS.gov is more on road, as far as I can tell. I appreciate any guidance. Thanks!
