That’s what it’ll be. There’s plenty of pipeline near the new stuff. They will just pull hoses and ground guns like they do for the new trail under the Sullivan. Maybe install pole guns in the future.

i am assuming that stuff can be accessed with portable stuff from other trails, but i dont know the layout. putting in some new pipe and either running air or electric is kind of a big undertaking for 3 little trails. But, lets not forget, ski up cocoa bar on the one trail.

I have a feeling snowmaking on the new trails is a few years away. But I think the trail count is good on paper. 🙃

Or having the snow coat the bottom of your skis and do a face plant getting off the lift.

If you can get there when there's good natural snow, Whaleback is a lot of fun because the stuff to the right of the main chair opens up. When the snow sucks, they focus snowmaking on the trails that serve the race teams and kids' groups, so the skiable terrain shrinks pretty quick. They used to have a Tuesday night deal that was $25 for a lift ticket, beer, and a burger. Don't sleep on Saskadena Six, either--when there's good fresh snow people flock to the bigger mountains, but you could spend all day at S6 not waiting in lift lines and still finding untracked snow in the afternoon. If you stay in the Upper Valley (Hanover/Leb/WRJ) you could hit a bunch of Indy mountains and probably pay less for lodging than at Killington/Stowe/Burl. Good restaurants and stuff in the UV, too. You’re the most tech savvy boomer I know. I spend about $45 in gas every two weeks. Used to be $30. That’s when it’s not ski season. Now for delivery truck at work prob $1500 a month in fuel now vs $1000 before. But then come price increases, utility increases, foods real expensive these days. Local place I enjoy was $35 for a NY strip steak with two sides level above outback level below high end..went up to $42. I think 140° is the maximum but the warmer you run the temperature the lower the coefficient of performance with heat pumps. impressive! i can imagine swiping the card for fuel on a diesel truck is painful. i figured out our fleets mileage for a week in August, and it was 7,000 miles per day, M-F. and that was with leaving some trucks onsite. I think we have a shot at $7 per gallon.

Even wealthier folks are feeling it..I can tell with my customers. I’m lucky all utilities are included at the hotel house.
