Hi guys, I'll try and keep this as brief as possible, but I do have a tendancy to over-type, so apologies in advance! Hello, This forum helped me when I was trying to get info so I wanted to make a post that will maybe help others. Context: I had my first experience with a pilonidal cyst about 6 months ago, I had itching and pus leakage and had to ask my boyfriend to check because I couldn't really tell what was going on. He told me that there was a small hole, I also had a fever that day and so we went to the ER because we were worried there was some weird infection. The fever turned out to be unrelated... Read more

Hello, I just had my pilonidal cyst surgery this morning (about 5 hours ago at the time of writing this) and I thought things had gone well, however I tried to go to the bathroom and I was worried that I might have somehow made things worse because it seemed like there was a fair amount of blood in the toilet bowl. I've already reached out to my doctor's office but it's always a waiting game for when I here back from them. I was told to leave the dressing on for 48 hours and then change it... Read more

Hi guys, I'm curious to hear other opinions on my strange health mystery the last 6 months or so. I'm a 24 year old male. Around December, I started feeling really sleepy, worn out, and exhausted all the time. I hunt a lot in the fall and live in a Lyme area of WI, so for the longest while, I suspected Lyme. So it seems I've got a case of the pilonidal. Last Monday, I drove 11 hours, then drove five more hours over the next two days. Two days later I rode in a car for another two. It was that night that I noticed my tailbone was hurting, because when I go to this particular house I always sit on the tile floor and I just couldn't get comfy. The next morning was the same deal, so I spent most of the time laying on my tummy. That night, two more hours in the car and I didn't really think anything... Read more

Over the years the area has gotten a bit inflamed and somewhat painful at times, but nothing too serious.
