I can’t say it enough… The PT15 is by far the best guitar tone that I’ve ever had in my life. Absolutely amazing from clean to overdriven tones. I could literally play any gig with this amp. I might need an EQ pedal to change things around for something that’s super heavy, but I don’t play that music so it’s not a problem. I do use different overdrives for different shows with it. This is a track I'm working on. The main issue as I see it currently is the vocals. I keep trying different styles but haven't found one that clicks in the way I want it to. But are there other issues people notice? How's the mixing? Are the guitars too wimpy? Is the bass non-existent? I have a very sub-par music room at the moment, which makes my mixes and masters hit and miss. Am I hoping I got it right this time so that I can zoom in on the vocals and record them... Read more

So how is everyone liking the Jose 20w head?

RSM Dual Drive custom pedal created by Griffin Audio. Combines two Cornish drives, SS-3 and G-2. each can be used independently, or stacked with the SS-3 --> G-2. The SS-3 is a soft sustain overdrive, vintage, transparent, low gain. The G-2 is a Germanium distortion. Switchable input buffer. probably won't get to try it until tomorrow. Pedal looks great Griff! I was in the middle of composing and recording a new tune and was making some adjustments and got really distracted by the awesome sounds I was getting... so, of course, I just started chugging this riff that had nothing to do with the song I was attempting to create and capture... figured I should share, so enjoy!!!

@MGL AmpWorks was kind enough to let me borrow this beautiful 50 watt Vintage/Modern! As we all know, purple amps result in at least 20% more tone per big bottle of displacement. I've only messed around with the vintage mode so far, and it sounds like instant classic heavy metal. It keeps the "kerrang" while being voiced a little more balanced and pleasing EQ wise than most vintage Marshalls with everything at noon. This is for an '82 JCM800. New production only.

Anyone ever tried these? I'm thinking of replacing the Arcane Powerdozers in my Jackson Dinky and these caught my ear since I heard somewhere they're like passive EMGs. Mostly going to use them for Drop C stuff like Killswitch Engage or Zakk Wylde.

Tried using a 9 volt lithium ion battery with my 89/SA/SA and it sounded very weak and thin. I was thinking that this application would be a perfect fit for lithium ion, but it sure wasn't. Can anyone expand on this? Also, EMG says it's not necessary to run a ground wire to the bridge, I very much disagree.
