I’ve owned the R1S for 5 months now and I am TRYING so hard to like it but I don’t. I even had a man ask me at a LIGHT how I liked it and when I said it was big for me his response was ‘Ya, you look small in it.’ I don’t even need to be best friends anymore, I just would like it to be ‘okay it’s fine’ at least

Hey everyone. Finally transitioning away from my model Y and picking up my R2 this saturday. Excited to get involved with the Rivian community and gush about how great these cars are. Any advice for a new owner? Anything I should worry about that isn't noticed/commented on much?

I wanted to know if anyone has had any problems with Safelite front windshield repair? I have used Rivian Service Center for my replacement thru USAA, but they cap labor rates at $40/hour, which lowers my reimbursement amount they provide. I'd like to use Safelite next time, since USAA will reimburse the full amount. If I need to replace my window again, I wanted to know if anyone has had any problems with Safelite calibrating the replacement window? Or should I stay with the Rivian service... Happens when running the A/C . Has anyone had that issue? Seems like the drip tube from the evaporator is clogged or overflowing somehow. It is still draining water underneath truck on the passenger side.

I know this has been covered in the past but my R1T was making a clunking sound when accelerating/ decelerating. I took it in to service and they replaced the half shaft. After picking it up the clunking sound continued. I took it back to service saying that the clunking sound was still there. The tech, after driving it around, said the noise was normal due to wear and tear of the drive linkage. Does anyone feel this is true? I can’t believe this is normal. Given what I know, I'm surprised shareholders are not actively revolting against the re-writing of RJ's comp plan to lower the share price thresholds which they deemed to difficult to hit. What? Isn't that the point of awarding one person billions of dollars? Because the targets are difficult to hit? And now that RJ is failing to hit the previous targets they re-write the rules mid-stream? I thought the idea was that he had to hit to the targets, but now he gets a "do-over"? Seems strange... What do RIVN shareholders think of RJ's new compensation package?

Or is this site only for fanbois? This is the worst vehicle I have ever owned, and I drove a freak Renault LeCar in the early 80s. I am screwed now as I spent over 100K in 2024. Not willing to lose half my investment, but at least I can vent. After my Buick Enclave met its end, I had to invest in something capable of winter trips to Lake Tahoe. Hi All, I'm looking at a R1T and would like to get some real world feedback on how it handles winter driving in the Big or Little Cottonwood canyons.
