1993 TBI. Truck has been running fine lately. Sunday I left the truck idle for a bit before I was going to change the oil. Got busy in the house and came back out 45 minutes later to a CEL. Code 42 was all it had. Replaced the ICM and it ran fine for about 15 minutes then a code 42 again. This time I cut the truck off and try to crank it back and it turns over but no start. I poured a Lil gas in the tbi and it cranked and ran until that ran out. The injectors aren't firing. Could the... Code 42 1993 TBI

I have had this issue for awhile now and have tried everything but am finally making a post. Initially I found out the pressure regulator was leaking, so I replaced the spider with SMP MFI system. Also replaced fuel pump with Acdeclo and new fuel filter. Plugs, wires, cap rotor, all have been changed 8k miles ago. It starts instantly when cold, or if only sat for 30 minutes or so. But once its been an hour or more, it cranks over and fails to start. I crank again and it barely starts, goes... Hard starting after sat for an hour

In the process of replacing the a/c - heater control unit the ignition switch jammed in the accessories position and refused to budge no matter what I did. I installed the control unit and removed the steering column from the 02. I installed a new igntion cylinder (old one was missing) and replaced the multifunction switch because it had been acting up as well. So, I am trying to replace my fuel pump, but the three fuel lines that connect to the pump itself refuse to come off even after using tools on it and pinching the white tabs and pulling. Any advice?

my '96 Blazer sometimes makes a crack or pop noise when backing up and turning. Normally I'd say something lose or worn in the front end but Ive checked everything and found nothing. Its only occasional, so I'm not worried about it. BUT,,,, a customer brought her newly purchased '99 Blazer into the shop last week complaining of the same thing. Again, I checked the front end, all good (it only has 65K miles, very clean and well cared for), rear bushings/shocks, fine, mounts fine. I could not... "crack" noise on turns in reverse?

Hello all, I am lowered 3" on maxspeedingrods blocks right now and am moving to 3" lowering leafs, with the blocks I currently have shakes around 40 mph and 60 mph and have a custom one piece driveshaft and an extended cab. I am wondering if this is most likely a driveshaft issue or a pinion angle issue. if anyone has any info that would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

So I have this 49 Hudson powered by a 90’s S10 4.3 TBI with a 700R4. Got it in July and been slowly improving it but still a ways to go. It had a huge problem with the coolant temperature sensor. Replaced it, ran fine for 300 miles. Seemed to go bad, replaced it again. Ran about 6 miles, ran bad again. Replaced the CTS pigtail this morning and runs much better. Truck ran fine yesterday, no problems at all. Today I took it out and the speedometer didn't work, and the emergency brake dummy light was on. After 5 minutes of driving the "service engine soon" light came on. The upshift light never comes on either. Is it normal for the e-brake light to come on when there is a speedo/odo failure like this? This is a 95, which has the ODB1.5 system that nobody has a reader for, so I'm hoping ya'll can help me troubleshoot it. Charlie.

So I replaced my fuel pump and how I replaced it, I took the bed off the truck and meanwhile removing the bed I removed a wire with it as well not knowing it was there so after I fixed the fuel pump and replaced it with a new one. My passenger side tail light doesn’t function whenever I turn on the headlights, then I put the blinker and it doesn’t flash whenever I press the brake the tail light turns off whenever I go in reverse the bulb doesn’t turn on.
