I’ve been a fan of MIJ ESP guitars since being a teenager in the 90s. I’ve played and owned a few customs and standards over the last 30 years and they’re definitely some of my favorite guitars. My question is, why choose ESP USA over MIJ? I can’t say I’ve ever played a USA ESP as I’ve yet to come across one, but I’m really interested in hearing what others opinions are on them. Am I missing out? With the prices being not much different, what are the advantages? Let’s also not get hung up on... ESP USA sells, but who’s buying?

Picked up this EBMM Stingray HT last year in December for $1700 in mint condition. All of my gigging guitars were MIJ 80's guitars and for some reason my logic was that I need something that isn't so irreplaceable and rock-solid. The good: The neck on this is incredible, I imagine that all of the wax finished EBMM's are equally great to play. I sweat a ton while I play live and this never gets sticky. In a nutshell, I came across a some forum with Fishman PU reverse engineering. I took that schematic and rebuilt it to a single-sided board, which can be ordered on a service like JLCPCB (which provides assembling service along with PCB creation) All my guitars are with Fishman, and they are successfully working with this charger(while the original Fishman rechargeable pack just burned with smoke for some reason) Here github with the project, it includes everything to make an order. We have a "post your pedalboard 2022" thread I found, but eh. This is a before/after. I have my MC8 to put on at some point and there's room for the 5150 switch if I so choose.
