I just completed a 5,800 mile trip to the southwest and now have 6,600 miles on the Michelin Road 6 (non-GT) tires. I will say that these tires are quiet and smooth! I love the feel, and never once did I lack confidence in the tires. I rode on gravel, rock, all kinds of pavement, construction grooved pavement, and a few hundred miles in the rain, even with standing water. I want to install handlebar risers, but I’m wondering if I’ll need to reroute the cables. The risers are 3 cm tall.

I'm thinking about replacing the headlight (and marker lights for aesthetics) mainly to reduce the power draw of the electrical system since I will be running heated gear, heated grips, GPS, phone charger and Rostra cruise control. New to the forum, located in San Jose California. This is also my first post so I can post on for sale page. Many parts including a frame, running motor, wiring harness, wheels and much more. I have had several 91 silver st1100's. I will post all parts on for sale page as soon as I get clearance to do so.

Purchased a 2003 last year after quitting bikes 3 years ago with 30km and put on about 4-5k. During that time have not been able to nail down the problem. Bike runs ruff when accelerating, does not want to rev freely or smoothly. Engine noisy under load and takes time to get up to rpm, struggling. Brakes are fine, went over them. Clutch is fine not slipping, adjusted balance shafts with engine running, checked hoses and T splitter which is new in 2022. That year the fellow I got the bike... Read more
