Apologies in advance if I'm rambling a bit in this post, I've unfortunately received a bit of bad news about one of my boys and I'm absolutely devastated. I've not long put up a post about 6 y/o boar - he originally was only picking at bits of hay, hardly drinking and hiding away a lot. I had taken him to the vet and tried meloxicam, paracetamol and ibuprofen. He improved some, but then went back downhill a little bit. Our house isn't infested but they're nesting in the guinea pigs pen pretty bad. Originally brought in from outsider's trash, they're nested in the fleece mat itself and I need advice for getting rid of them and keeping them gone.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice about my guinea pig’s diet. He is 8 months old and unfortunately has kidney failure as well as stones. He currently gets his pellets mixed with water and given by syringe. He barely eats vegetables anymore, although sometimes he will take a bite or two. Took my two boys for a check up today at the vets, they always go together in the same carrier. For some reason they fought on the way and on the way back and for a third time when we got home and I put them back in their enclosure. No blood has been drawn but they've flung themselves at each other. Lots and lots of teeth chattering and rumble strutting since. She is wheezing a little like my boy when he got pneumonia, but I’ve also had guinea pigs make this noise when the temperature has changed. Do you think she needs a vet? Or some humidity?

Hi does anyone know how long it takes for antibiotics to start working on the piggy? He has an upper respiratory infection we think vets gave antibiotics Saturday but he isn't much better

My guinea pig stopped eating hay in January so we had her in for a dental where her back molars were filed down and also the front as they were angled due to overgrown back molars. She didn't go back to eating hay very much but continued to eat veg and her Timothy hay nuggets from selective sciences. She maintained majority of her weight without resuming her usual hay consumption. The same happened again recently and she had another dental in July. She recovered well and continued to eat... After lots of discussions with Miss Bramble ( @Betsy ) and the GPU bosses its finally happened ….
