Dethatched, aerated, put fresh topsoil and seed in bare spots, and overseeded entire lawn with 100% kbg. I think I made a mistake of too much topsoil and peat moss over some of the bare areas, pretty sure it is more than 1/2” in some spots…also realized there just continued to be so much thatch (even though I swear it was cleared multiple times!) in many of the areas I overseeded…so… How risky is it to put down additional... Reseed or too risky?

This area has always looked good compared to the rest of the lawn and I didn't irrigate until about 3 weeks ago. But I have sprayed fungicide on it every 2 weeks since early June. I rotate Azoxy and Propy/mefenoxim.

So I was looking for some Perennial Ryegrass seed for my fall overseed coming up and I have used Twin City Seed - Fielders Choice in the past and it is great. But as I was looking around I came across this, Barenburg RPR - Regenerating Perennial Ryegrass. Barenburg says that the PRG will use stolons to grow more grass similar to Bermuda. I was curious if anyone has had any experience with this blend of seed before and if it really works. It would be great to have the germination rates of PRG... Over the years, I've reno'd bits and pieces of my yard. Mostly because we don't have in-ground irrigation. I did the south half of my backyard (Spring 2021 - mix of KBG and Fescue), north 1/3 of my backyard (Fall 2021 - 100% KBG mix of Bewitched, Mazama and Midnight), the east section (Fall 2022 - same mix as Fall 2021) and front yard (Fall 2023 - same KBG mix). It has become glaringly obvious the dividing line between my fescue and KBG...and it bothers me (but probably no one else). So... We had a bad infestation of stiltgrass, decided to attack it before seed sets, I think its about the last opportunity before fall. Used Acclaim Extra at max strength .46 oz per gallon, surfactant and also liquid nitrogen. Hoping its not too late to make a good dent in it, now time will tell. I'm noticing it has grown especially well on the edges of the woods, we hit it all. Any thoughts on if I should water this tomorrow? I don't see any rain in the near forecast and its been dry this... Hello! Long post, but I’m just sick and tired of looking at a brown yard with weeds in it, and need some help. I recently just purchased my first home with about 4,750 sq feet of lawn. I didn’t touch it other than mowing and the occasional water in the first year living here. The grass died in the summer, so I bought an Anderson soil test kit and bought the recommended Lawnbox 7-0-7 fertilizer (natural route because of my two toddlers) and that unfortunately did not do much. Anyone know of these cultivators and any feedback? 20 lbs for $55, it's watergard coated tho at 41% so def a trade off and couldn't find much about it online. From what I read MVS seems to be good stuff. Just sprayed some weedclear and will wait 4 weeks to 3-4 weeks to overseed. Temps dropping from 90-100 here in northern California. (Brentwood)

Seed 4th Millenium Starr KBG 09-14-26 Believe me I didn’t nuked it. 😅 not sure if it’s still called overseeding or jus call it reno. Power raked it at 1/4 inches. Removed the dead grass and aerate it. Threw 0.5lbs of kbg and 4lbs of 4th Millenium TTTF. Gently raked it. Add 5 bags of compost to cover seeds. Anyone have experience with these? I’m using them right now for a seed cover for a large area. They are permeable and block out 50% of the sun rays and do a really good job keeping the seed moist and in place. I put down PRG and it’s day 4 and I’ve got germination already. I’m trying to get an idea on when to remove them. They are not biodegradable and I can’t see any problem areas that may need seed

Recently completed a lawn renovation with Twin City Seed Blue Resilience. 6A Central Indiana. Full nuke early August (glypho) as it was mostly crabgrass. Scalp, aerate, dethatch, and 3 cubic yards of topsoil. Spread at recommended 9#/1K, rake in, roll, put down starter fert with mesotrione and covered with peat moss. Hi guys I need help from an expert. Last winter I bought a house on long island and the lawn is a mess. It's got zoysia front and back with a good amount of poa annua mixed in. Initially I didn't know what I was dealing with I never had grass like this. There was lots of weeds so I sprayed some weed b gon type product that killed alot of the grass.
