Back in a cavalier again!

Yes everything coming out minus dash. In talks with bc coil overs for my legs being converted and the track rod end lowering. Plan on using saab bottom arms for more camber. Have saab 5 stud set up with 288 brakes and carbotech track pads. The weight saved will be offset by the cage but rigidity will be good. Still trying to decide on engine. Have a b204 and i kjow where theres a c25xe with supposed g cams, super chip and 3.0 lower inlet. But im yet to see it. I did build a 2.5 many years ago, ported heads and 3 branchs, made 218hp so i f i did v6 id be repeating that. Though a b204 will give 230hp with nothing but a map, just doesnt have the same character.

Welcome back, will be watching this with interest. In terms of a track car, I am assuming everything is coming out, interior wise etc?

Back in a cavalier again!

Hi everyone, its been a while. Havent had an old vauxhall in quite some time, nearly 10 years. Ended up doing a spur of the moment deal and literally stole (see pics) an early mk3 L model. Body is structurally very good, has some random small rust patches on the body. 1.6 carb, starts and drives though brakes are iffy at best. Interior in ok condition but headlining and trim falling down. So i bought this after watching 90s touring car videos with a friend who knows how to instigate a trip down memory lane, i have no use for a car and this cavalier had no desire to be a working car. So im doing something i havent seen in person and building a cavalier track car, all reversible if all fails. I have been busy sourcing parts and planning so far, still undecided on which engine but its a choice between b204 and c25xe both would mildly tuned and in the region of 210 to 230hp. I only have a few pics at the moment but as soon as work gets under way i shall update, hopefully in the coming weeks

The Vectra-C - The other battle wagon

I am sure that there will never be an end to spending. The Vectra-C is the grand-child of the Cavalier, so it is bound to be just as needy. It was a total cow to start this afternoon. A couple of times it looked like I had flattened the battery, but just as hope was fading, the car finally started. needy cars make the world go round.

Why is it so hard to sell your house.

As stated before the only real bugbear with this house has turned out to be the plumbing. Tbh it's been driving me mad after checking it with gauges it turns out that there's only 5 litres a minute coming in but nearly 9bar of pressure! I've been trying to track the problem down, most likely a blockage, this afternoon I think I've finally found it. Buried behind a fixed in cupboard in the utility room is a long forgotten stop cock,I'm almost gobsmacked that someone could be so stupid as to lblock it off, plus it's also illegal. I've had to destroy the cupboard to even just see it in the dark, very corroded up and sized, I can just now get my hand on it. Going to have to get some more tools and finish smashing up the cupboard as its bonded and screwed to the wall over it. Some people just make you wonder, plus the previous owner has spent a small fortune having a boiler system installed with a storage tank in the roof to try and overcome the low flow, plus if I dont get the pressure down soon somewhere is going to burst open on the water system.
