I am considering a 2008 Touareg that is currently available. Supposedly "everything works as it should," but I'm planning on flying out to see it rather than just say, "Okay; where do I send the money?" Although I am familiar with VWs -- that's all I have purchased since 1986 -- I am not familiar with some of the unique attributes of a Touareg. What should I expect to experience when I turn the left console knob from "High" to the symbol past "Low" which I am assuming is center... What to look for ... ?

My alternator failed, 2013 TDI, 203,000 Kms, it was replaced but then about 200 km later the belt failed. The guy who did the alternator came and took it all apart for free but has stopped responding to calls. I bought a kit ex China which has the tensioner, belt and 3 pulleys, has bona fide markings on the tensioner so looks good. Major job is to clean the AC, Power Steering and Water Pump pulleys as they all have remnants of the old belt on them. Will spinning these pulleys cause any... Belt Replacement

Recently The Transmission coolant and Engine oil coolant pump failed and the oil leaked into the radiator. Got both of them replaced. However, the Coolant temp indicator is showing 95C, while revving up the engine, to 100 Km/hr it crosses the 90C for couple of hours. Later on it settles and then able to drive at higher speed.If you have had similar experience, kindly advice how to rectify the same.

So I’m thinking about deleting the massive “suitcase” muffler, leaving the stock resonator, and putting in two large glass pack or other mufflers, I want it to actually make noise idling and at WOT but not drony, think new cayenne. Has anyone done this? If so what do you recommend?

13 cc..as soon as I connect the battery there are relays clicking and it's sparking and pulling amps. All with the key out of the car. I read it could be the terminal 15 relay..but I can't find it . The description says that it should be underneath the dash but I can't find it and I took the pocket out and there's some relays there but none seem to be the terminal 15. Anybody guide me where it's at or any other suggestions would be helpful

Can I get help understanding the codes?

I have a 2010 diesel and am getting ready to remove the EGR cooler and EGR valve. I see a lot of threads and a lot of pdf files but nothing with some more specific instructions on removal. I see that the intake has to come off and a lot has to be removed but it would be nice to have some order of operations. Is there such a file or thread here? Also someone had a link to a workshop manual but that seems well expired. Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, I've been experiencing very weird problems with my 2018 Tiguan 2.0 TSI recently. Symptoms: Starts and runs fine when cold (some smoke on cold start, but otherwise normal) Drives completely fine once running Problem only shows up on hot restarts: after turning the car off and trying to start it again while hot, it takes several attempts to fire Once it starts, the engine runs very roughly for the first ~10 seconds, revs drop to around 500 rpm, sometimes... Hey there, my son has a 2005 Passat 2.8v6. He noticed the other day that he could hear the water circulate on the odd occasion.

I needed to move my w12 in my garage a little bit, after 10month of sleep. The suspension was very very low. After starting i noticed that we wantet to pump up, and after a few seconds i got a message Stop Suspension Fault - Workshop. VCDS showed me: 00140 - Front Right Body Acceleration Sensor (G342) 009 - Open or Short to Ground Can anybody tell me where this sensor is located and what part number it have? Do i need to jack up the Reg for changing it and do you have any... G342 Acceleration Sensor
