Great! I wish similar rules were in place for 3rd-5th. And 6-8th. And high school.

I saw some ICE activity today outside west Seattle Home Depot at 10:45 am. Numerous cars at odd angles between the gas station and HD. Some people were filming the events on their phones. I felt like I drove into chaos and got out as soon as possible.

In reply to Lone R of WS . Good, you should feel ashamed of those opinions, because it’s clearly showing your character as a human. Many of the people being deported are here legally, within the balance of the laws they have been given by the government. Many of these folks are even being deported at their legal check-ins. U.S. immigration law allows people who entered unlawfully to pursue certain forms of relief, including asylum in qualifying circumstances. So “they entered illegally, therefore deportation is simply the consequence they knowingly accepted” skips over the legal processes Congress has established. Regardless, they are still owed due process, which they are not receiving. It’s also possible to support stronger border enforcement while opposing particular ICE operations or methods of enforcement in Seattle. Those aren’t inherently contradictory positions.
