Just come back from the service workshop having asked them to sort out the gas side of our fridge, which is an Electrolux RM4361S. My guess was that the burner jet needed cleaning but they reported the steel gas pipe that goes from the gas valve to the burner assembly was partially blocked by corrosion. The fridge seems to be obsolete -- at least the workshop says that they can't get the part and everywhere I've found online says that part is no longer available. Hence this post hoping that... As in the title. I have searched but to no avail, lots of info but nothing current. I'm sure there used to be a site where you could input a vin no. and it would let you know. Any help welcome. TIA.

In the middle of refurbish my bus. Now I want to fit a decent size fridge freezer enables me to store more food to be off grid. Need a decent size freezer for dog food. Now the dilemma. 12v or 240v until. Compressor unit. Got 800ah of battery and 750w of solar. What's the most economic way to go. With or without inverter. I have a 4k inverter but thinking of fitting a dedicated inverter for f/f if that's the most economical way.

I had x2 motorhomes and now my VW van and each one was great there was always something in the design that was just daft. Well, heres a good one for you on my camper. It has an internal water tank. Its small but meets all my needs. Anyway, when I bought it me and the missus did a good few single nights away. I dont use it much in summer times mainly using it in winter and autumn. Good morning I just wanted to warn people about Grimaldi ‘Special Offers’ on their Greece-Italy runs. I booked on the 30th August which was the last day of the promotions at 622€ with a cabin but various conditions attached under the offer. 2 hours later I received a book now offer 50€ less but they wouldn’t change it or even offer freebies on board. Did anybody else watch 'When Motorhoming holidays go horribly wrong'? The Roaming Radfords were on there on one of the meets at Hereford with a Mouse creating havoc in their van, I'm sure I briefly saw Phil (Admin) as well. It seemed to me that most of the 'victims' were Vanlifers, I certainly recognised some of them.

Andyjanet's Petzl thread reminded me that just before we left for France a couple of weeks ago, the plugin charger for our Garmin satnav failed. I looked on the Garmin website but couldn't be sure whether I was looking at the correct replacement. So I opened a chat with their support who quickly responded asking for the serial number of the satnav.
