Hello all, I am currently experiencing one issue with my bike that I purchased a few months ago. This problem has been persistent but seems to be getting worse with time. The problem is that the bike will not start and hold an idle especially while cold unless I am actively giving it throttle. Adding choke typically kills it during this, but if choke is on before attempting the start plus throttle, it will hold. Hi I am new here and live in Germany and am trying to set the carbs on a 750 and have read that I need a blocking tool. Is this really necessary? Os it possible to build one? Has anyone done this? Are there drawings or exact plans on how to build one? I would be grateful for any help because the support for this model in Germany is zero.

As the title says I’m having trouble with 2nd gear rattling and either sticking or not catching at all. Is my transmission on its way out?

1987 XJ900 F. Headlight suddenly stopped working. Battery fine, different globe tried, fuse box OK, Light switch opened and tested fine. Tail light working OK. The odd thing is that I have 12 volts at the 3 headlight plug terminals yet globe does not work! This has me stumped! I note on the schematic there is a cut out relay. Does this cut the headlight when the starter is deployed? Where is this relay located pls? Interestingly the other day when riding a red light came on. this... Headlight stopped working

The XJ Gods decided to curse me once more after chasing a carb issure for 3 years on my Seca 900. Headlight and cluster lights stopped working just like that. Leading up to this my signal lights, brake lights, tach, and horn stopped working which I was able to trace back to a poor connection at the fuse box. They work fine now. I installed a blade style box two weeks ago, but it seems this time the fuse box is fine. I checked the bulb in the headlight by directly connecting it to the... Silencers from a 2010 FXDWG, take-offs because of road rash. I can't see the scrape when they're mounted on this. The nose sections of the old mufflers made perfect packing pieces to mate the 38mm collector pipes with the 1.75" Hardly-Ableson bits.
