Well I thought I’d probably finish the Titan sooner than planned so I’ve added another bike to the stable. A 1978 Yamaha SR500 “Thumper”. I just picked it up today and am trying to not work on it but it’s proving difficult to keep away. hey! here is the wiring diagram for the left hand switch. I think i have most of it figured out except for the brown "main power in" wire. I don't need this one, do i? Isn't each component powered separately? Thanks! im getting rid of the reserve light checker, light checker, and turn cancelling unit and maybe the resistor? Haven't figured out what the resistor does yet... Once again thanks for all the help!

Good afternoon, everyone. Does anyone have experience with this combination of clutch parts? I’ve replaced everything—including the pushrod and the double ball bearing—and I also replaced, lubricated, and correctly routed the cable, yet the clutch feels quite stiff. The problem is that I don’t have a reference point for how it used to feel; I bought the bike a long time ago and have been repairing it bit by bit, so I didn't really notice the clutch stiffness back then. Hello all, so advice needed. As usual the starter was not engaging correctly so I replaced the worn gear with a new one from I think Yambits. Having read all the comments on this I also ensured that the fork had the correct tension on it to facilitate engagement. Oh reassembly, the darn thing still does not engage. What am I missing? I”ve two of these bikes and replaced the starter gear on the other and it is perfect. So I’d appreciate any insight that you may have! Thanks in advance.

I see a lot of the kits for the mid controls for the xs650 have fixed, not folding foot pegs. I'm worried that they will scrape in the corners and cause a high side, especially since my bike is lower than stock. Anyone ever have problems scraping the pegs in the corners?

I am looking at this right side carb body as a spare. I'm not sure it's a 1976/77 version. Could anyone please take a look and tell me if it's actually 76/77 type, or it's earlier version? Thanks.
