Glad you got it sorted! Toasty: Sorry for the confusion, I should know better to leave more info. And yes, context would really help in the future. You have to remember that I can’t see your devices, know what you’ve done or what steps you’ve taken to try and make things work. Instead I have to guess and ask multiple questions to try and get the whole story. In the end I’m glad you got it figured out but theres a bunch of time and effort wasted in trying to troubleshoot something I have zero visibility into. Not sure whats going on with the driver, removed it twice, re-added a 3rd time, and I think it’s working now. It kept either being inverted or wasn’t opening or closing all the way when commanded from the app.

Are you saying that you tried his Zwave Valve Mc driver, and its detecting it backwards? Sorry for the confusion, I should know better to leave more info. It picked up 5gr zwave switch and Child driver from Mariano, even tho no child device. I tried Philh30’s masquerade driver too but the device didn’t respond at all to that one. As for Marianos driver behavior, it’s state is backwards (valve closed in the “on” position) and it’s not detected as a valve with open/closed, but a switch with on/off. I had a look at the driver builder but there’s no provision for a valve threre either

You’re gonna get tired of me someday I’ve got a Watercop zwave valve that isn’t working right with Marianos driver, default St diver just detects as switch. First screenshot is from Marianos zwave thing driver info, second is the device info from ST default driver

Thanks to @General_KAOS for his testing that revealed a minor labeling issue in the UI. Version 2026-09-16T23:40:49.758707835 is now the most current and only changed the labels on the Alarm sensitivity sliders. This is a presentation only change so no need to force the driver install on your hub for it to take affect.
