Hopped in the 2014 Max Tow today..,eager to hit an estate sale w/ tools. At 136k miles I’m fully expecting cam chain nightmare. Started up & here a very subtle thump thump thump thump, thump thump thump thump. Now I’m familiar w/ crank bearing fail and the peculiar high pressure fuel pump noise, but this was not changing intensity or frequency w/ rpm😳. Relaxed and listened a little more intently. Then I heard it, hey yea, hey yea, ah ta hey yea. Damn radio was on low volume & it was the... Dreaded noise

Okay so I have a 2012 Ford f150 that was making chain slap on start and had multiple codes for timing. No power until 3500 RPM. So I replaced all the timing components with the kit from freedom racing. This is my third time doing a timing chain on a 3.5. I've never had an issue before. After I started it up ran very smooth no weird noises. Runs and drives perfect except still no power under 3500 RPM and popped a check engine light p0018 intake cam bank 2 advanced. I pulled out my scanner and... Timing off after phasers and chain replacement.

I have a 2013 F150 xl 3.7L engine. I experienced a bad stall that threw off a P0320 Code pointing me to a Crankshaft Positioning Sensor. I replaced the sensor and it was stalling intermittently at stop lights or when I was stopping. Sometimes it would start right back up, other times it would be a hard restart. I thought it was because I replaced the sensor with a NAPA sensor. Long story short, it appears nothing was wrong with the original sensor but I did buy and put in a Motorcraft... Need help 2013 F150 xl 3.7L

I have 2014 Lariat with 143,000 miles. When should I think about changing shocks. No leak marks and doesn't bounce if you push down on it. Our roads are bad and there's some rattling when you hit bad spots.

2024 XLT Powerboost with just under 18k miles, 2.4kw. Selling price was $39,990, but of course my Ram trade-in added a small amount of negative equity since Rams depreciate so fast. Didnt have a problem with my Ram, but it was kind of a pig lol. Delt directly with the GM of Findlay Lincoln out here so very little drama.

I purchased a 2013 F150 ecoboost a year ago. I'm in the process of replacing the thermostat housing (BL3Z8A586G). What is the part with the electrical connector attached to it with the 2 metal pipes. I broke it trying to remove it. How do you get it out?

Think I might trade my 2020 Ram in for this 2023 powerboost while my 2022 2.7 is being used for long commutes only. I'd prefer a 2024 but this one has way more options and dealer is offering a better trade in deal. What do you guys think? The powerboost will be used mainly for work and weekend trips since my truck is my mobile office anyway and ill be able to use the on board power for camping too. [URL... Thinking about it...

2018 F150 3.5 EB 4WD 157k miles About a year ago, I replaced the tires and went with a more aggressive tread. After a month or so started noticing a rumble. Sounded like it was coming from the front and reminded me of the sound of aggressive tire treads so I assumed the tires were wearing in and that was going to be the new sound of driving. Fast forward to a week ago and I swapped the tires out. Moved them to my other truck and got new ones on the 2018. Highway tread so noise shouldn't be... Vibration/Rumble at all speeds

Just bought a 2013 f150 Ecoboost at the end of March 2026. It had only 3000miles on the previous oil change so I just ran with the dealer fluids for a while. I had the truck checkout before buying and I test drove it for days before hand and was at the dealer when they opened. It NEVER made the cold start rattle until I changed the oil and filter and it started almost immediately. I put in it the motor craft oil filter and the widely recommended full syn oil in the correct 5w-20... Oil quieting cam phaser rattle?

Just some random things I've thought of over the years since I bought my 2013 F150... Of course each new model year truck line comes up with new things to either "fix" or comply with the current trends and federal safety laws, etc.. And that's great and all, but some of them are not what I'm looking for in a future truck.. After reading some of the more recent threads posted here, here are things I came up with just now... Greetings, I’m looking to see if anyone else out there has encountered the following scenario. My dealership has been struggling with this since end June with no resolution. Scenario: 2022 F150 XLT Supercrew with full tow package. Roughly 37000km / 24000 miles on it with K&N cold air originally and reverted back to stock for testing Pulling 7600lb RV travel trailer After pulling for about half an hour on flat or incline (worse on incline) From the air intake area of the engine compartment... Electrical problem. When I open a door,the park/taillights start flashing for a few seconds,then they stop.theres a clicking in the center of the dashboard ahead of the strg wheel (like a flasher). It'll do it intermidantly just driving. Any words of wisdom?? JOSEY
