Publishing your own?

Hi everyone (or the handful of people who might read this anyway)... I've set up a small self-publishing imprint called Gwyllt a Rhydd (Wild and Free). It's a self-publishing vehicle for people who have a book they want to get out there. Printing traditionally, but also offering a Print On Demand option. As a fly-fishing obsessive and book-lover (as well as illustrator, designer and sometimes a writer)- I'd love to be publishing some books in that field, niot least to add to my bookshelf... Excellent Customer Service - Guideline

I thought I'd share a recent experience with Guideline that deserves some recognition. A few weeks ago, while fishing the River Swale at Richmond, North Yorkshire, the second section of my Guideline Elevation 10'6" #3 Nymph rod broke just above the ferrule. It was an unusual place for a failure. The rod had been purchased in New Zealand in December 2025 and had only seen around a dozen days' fishing. Naturally, I contacted Guideline to discuss what had happened. What followed... Excellent Customer Service - Guideline

Lakeland Fly Dressers

Many years ago I attended meetings of Lakeland Fly Dressers at Endmoor. I'm looking to possibly start back this winter but I can't see any up to date presence on the internet via Google and I'm not on Facebook. Are they still going? Anyone got a contact email or phone number? Thanks

Gardening question.

I have a very nice camellia in the garden. This year for the first time it has born fruit. Anybody know if the seeds are ready to collect? I've searched online and it's all a bit obscure. "Wait until the hard body splits." is the closest I can understand. This looks to me like it's splitting. What do you think.

Braided Loops

When using braided loops, what - if anything - do people use to seal the end of the section over the fly line? I had just put it on with the silicone tubing over it with no glue as recommended by the line (and loop) manufacturer, however following an incident on Saturday where the whole lot got pulled off by a fish ai want to change this. By way of background, I fish with long leaders and often the leader will end up in the rod rings when landing a fish, I think a bit of back and forth of... Braided Loops

Fly Rod Case

Does anyone have a two rod case for sale - something like the Wychwood 4 or 2 rod case? It strikes me as the sort of thing someone might buy and decide isn’t for them so thought I’d see if anyone had one for sale before buying a new one.

Gaza

Can't contain it any longer, am I just watching genocide and the expansion of Israel?
