Just thought about how much music helps me and invite others to post music that helps them at times when they struggle. No need to write anything if you don't feel you can, just post the music that matters to you whatever it is.

I was thinking about my childhood and my parenthood and realized that music often says things in a way words cannot. Here are a few for you. I spent most of my professional and university studies as a teacher and social worker with children and families. Naturally, I spent my time as a child, a father, and now as a grandfather. Hello my mum, aged 90, was diagnosed last year with dementia. My sisters and I had noticed changes in mum's behaviour like the repeating and forgetting things so she got referred following a GP appointment. She doesn't see that she has dementia and doesn't like the term being mentioned so we try and say that she has memory problems. Hello My husband has LBD, some days he will eat a lot and then other days hardly anything, does anyone know why this is happening

My wonderful mum very sadly died yesterday after living with dementia for 16 years. It appears there was no gradual decline or end of life planning she just very quickly stopped eating and drinking, fell asleep Sunday evening and died Tuesday evening. Hi, my husband has Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. He struggles with anxiety and depression. He has diabetes type 2 and is insulin dependent. He has other health issues that are also managed through tablets. I order his meds and organise them in a pill organiser. He takes 11 tablets a day spread out over breakfast/lunch/teatime/evening plus insulin twice a day. Mum lived in Pembrokeshire until she was 20, then Flintshire for 63 years, then was diagnosed with mixed dementia 5 years ago and moved to Glamorgan to live with my sister. Then 4 years ago she moved to be in a dementia residential home near me, in West Yorkshire (Leeds) self funded. She now has less than £23k AND was today given 28 day notice as she needs dementia nursing care. We had asked Leeds for a financial assessment 6 weeks ago but no reply yet. Hello all. My mum who is 85 was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia in July 2025. She doesn’t acknowledge the diagnosis. She is still living independently but I fear she is getting worse. I took early retirement in April as I felt mum would need me more and am trying my best to help but it’s so frustrating! I have the LPAs set up and have just applied for attendance allowance on her behalf. Anything else I should be doing?

Mum got diognosed with mixed dementia 2 yrs ago and lives independently on her own. Brother & I have POA. & handle her finances & health. Just been to visit mum with this wks shopping, brother there doing her garden. All was well till mum asked for some more money we asked her to check safe as we thought there was an adequate amount in there as she pays for taxis and things out using her card. for the past week my mum tells me that she has been talking to her dad (he died 50 years ago) and a family solicitor about a house she owns in another town. She has asked me to take her to the house, which does not exist, and I don’t know how to respond to this. Also she says the solicitor is selling this house and she can’t understand why the solicitor hasn’t brought her belongings to her. Yes I was wondering if anyone else has come across this my husband has been getting his tablets in a blister pack pack from our local pharmacy and I just received a letter today to say if I continue to want his tablets in a blister pack pack I would have to pay £40 per month I was wondering if anybody else has come across this charge I don’t mind paying for it but if it’s not necessary I wont
