I will generally consume a few cans of beer during the week. I like whisky but limit it to birthdays and Christmas time. I think that getting into the habit of drinking it all the year round would be rather bad for me, and also expensive of course. I really should not be moaning. I know that. The letter from my hospital appointment talks enthusiastically about how well my diabetes is managed. And my TIR has never been higher. But… The since using the MM780G my HbA1c has been creeping upwards. I am spending more and more time in double figures. And when not actually above 10, certainly in the 8-9.9 range. Hi all so a few weeks ago I got a letter from my hospital diabetes team asking if I'd like to take part in a research study. The study is to look at if home monitoring by at home patient blood test could be used in place of in person blood tests for monitoring of HB1AC. The letter states studies have shown that capillary collection can be as accurate as venous blood samples and might mean in future patients self collect. Hi all I was diagnosed with diabetes type 2 last Friday, I was then put a Libre sensor on my arm which is so helpful. I wonder if I will need to continually wear the Libre sensor as in I wonder being a type 2 if our get a new one . I would find it difficult to recognise my blood dropping or getting high without it , plus I have autism and like certain foods

Many years of type 1 DM and 3 years experience with Omnipod and dexcom. Can’t find much on this on line, so thought it should be highlighted. It has happened to me a few times now and I still have not found a solution. I’d love to know if anyone else has had similar problems? Any advice welcome.. Unexplained hypos whilst flying. Hi My husband was diagnosed with T2 7 years ago, thr GP gave him 3 months to lower his blood sugars with diet etc which he did and all was good. 2 months ago he has emergency surgery on an absence on his back and put of the blue they told him his blood sugars were 16 and he'd need to go to the Dr's, as he doesn't drink, eat any sugar or white carbs (keeps his carbs very low) this was a shock but he has lost so much weight in the last 18 months along with being tired etc...fast forward to... Two free samples they work for two, three days then fail. They will send another before I buy. Where do you place your sensors ? My arm is sore getting the adhesive off thats how I know they stick on the arm well. Just would like a week to ten days to see if it shows me more than I already know . Anyone use the tummy position and if so does it catch on clothing? Thanks for help .

I have been using just Lantus for 3 years now, most of the time my time in range has been 90%, since I lost Alan just over 3 weeks ago, and the few weeks before he passed I had to increase my usual 30 units, now I am up to 42 units, I am hardly eating anything, and when I do I jump into the red quickly regardless of what I eat, I am not sleeping either I am lucky if I get 4/5 hours sleep a night, I don't want to go to the doctors, I Just wondered if 42 units were high ?
