Hi, Pimax user from many years now, having a 8K, 8K+, Crystal OG, then Dream Air. Some new features introduced with EVO are interresting I have to admit. But if I may, there was a time, when PiTool was the here, were we had an “In VR” interface, with access to all the parameters, and on top of this, there was a per game configuration setup already, with automatic application of the right setup when launching a game. So, woudn’t it be a must have to re-introduce this “in vr” interface, before to work on new, and maybe not so usefull, features ? Just a two cents suggestion.
I have dofreality h4 and vive tracker for motion compensation. Working perfectly
Very happy with PP 2.0.4, so nothing to else to say or question. However, regarding EVO 2.0, while I really like this new interface and layout, there is no way to set configurations per app, as far as I can see - unless I’m overlooking something? Consequently, I need to switch to Classic to enable this, as none of the 3 dot dropdowns on the apps page of EVO show ‘game settings’. Should I presume this aspect will follow later?
documentation out of date, no surprise there.
witmotion only works with a two or three dof platform. I have a six dof platform
Hello friends, I recently released something I have been working on non stop for a few weeks now. I am very proud of it, so much that I jumped the gun and released it 4 builds too early. I had the game running really good but at the last minute created the launcher to avoid legality issues by distributing anything from the big N. After a bunch of actual testing today on multiple systems I believe that this version is ready to post here and ask for some testers. Check out the github : GitHub - no6969el/GEVR: Native from-source GoldenEye VR (OpenXR). Bring your own ROM. Beta — enjoy it now; multiplayer later. · GitHub Any issues please report on the github, more updates to come! Suggestions are highly welcome. I believe you should be able to do a full playthrough on this version. Lets see who can reach it first!!
It’s an extra hassle to get a powered outlet to plug into an already existing powered surge protector that already powers the rest of the PC, and get down on the floor to turn it on/off each and every time you want to use a headset. Sounds like Pimax should just put a powered function right there in the software eh? Just like they have it for the Crystal in my screenshot? Why the deliberate stubbornness to not have it in the first place? Especially since you agree with leaving electrical devices on standby is just a waste of power (and also for the main three issues I mentioned). What’s funny is if you report this to Pimax like I did they will simply tell you to unplug it at the outlet…well then that begs the question WHY DIDN’T YOU INCLUDE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE? Circular logic banging your head on a wall. lol!
On the Pimax website. It needs updating I think as it was only available for the DA lighthouse version before SBOYS3 made the driver work with all Pimax headsets. It’s misleading for purchasers though.
Index hmd doesn’t have volume buttons it’s just set in software. Never been an issue using my Index Don’t see a lack of power off as any kind of problem, it wasn’t a concern with the DA when I tested it I never leave electrical devices on standby it’s a just waste of power; electricity isn’t cheap anymore
Flicking my power bar rocker switch to off solves all of this. Moving on.
Jetman, where are you reading that that DA SLam headset does not work with Sboys3? Because their latest release says it does: Releases · sboys3/CustomHeadsetOpenVR · GitHub I am using Sboys3 with the latest EVO and my DA SLam, and it seems to work ok. There is some distortion visually, kind of a fishbowl effect at the edges when I move my head around. I am trying to max out the FOV so I’ve updated the Sboys HFOV value to around 117 degrees. YMMV
