Hello RME Support, I am using an HDSPe AIO Pro on Windows 11 with the current HDSPe driver. I need a native 5.1 WDM Speaker endpoint for gaming, using the standard channel layout: FL / FR / FC / LFE / SL / SR. Currently, the Windows Speaker Configuration for the AIO Pro only exposes 7.1, not 5.1. I have also tried changing the Windows speaker configuration/metadata externally, but the driver continues to expose the endpoint as 7.1. I found this older RME forum discussion: https://forum.rme-audio.de/viewtopic.php?id=29777 In that thread, Matthias Carstens mentioned that the driver could use a fixed preselection, resulting in either 7.1 or 5.1 fixed (plus stereo). Would it be possible to provide either: a hidden/registry option for fixed 5.1, a test HDSPe driver with fixed 5.1 support, or an official driver option allowing the AIO Pro WDM Speaker endpoint to expose native 5.1? I specifically need the game/application to see a true 5.1 endpoint. A 7.1 endpoint with software downmixing is not suitable because game engines render side and rear speaker positions differently. I would be very happy to test a beta/test driver if one is available. Thank you!

Hello! UFX III, TotalMix FX. I use Room EQ to correct headphones; one band is +5 dB. 1. Where does that +5 dB go? Who handles the overshoot — is there internal headroom, or does it clip? In Sonarworks you must lower the output gain to compensate for boosts; Room EQ has no such control, and the manual says nothing about it. 2. What is the correct approach here? Thanks.

Since microsoft and windows are going a certain way from OS to something else that is not desirable any more, despite having bought a license etc. Windows is becoming a not viable option. Are the plans to support Linux for applying firmware?

Ok, ok, I know it´s dirty wireing and not recommend but nevertheless. I have a mac where the Audio stuff is going on and an CachyOS Linux PC where mostly gaming is going on. There is one Babyface Pro hooked up to Neumanns. A few years ago I used the Babyface Pro on an Caldigit Thunderbolt Dock. So it was not plugged in directly into the Mac. It still worked like a charm even if not recommended. Now I need to go one step further. I want to switch the Interface with a KVM switch Dock in the Monitor between my two systems. Has Anyone experience in such a setup? Anything to consider or something? I am happy to try it but I need to buy a new monitor for this and if there is some experience it would be nice to gain it beforehand. I know its not optimal, but I see no other way in using two computers with one Set of monitors. Till now a little usb Audio card on the linux machines is going into two inputs of the Babyface. Not so cool either. Thanx
