Trying out eisy-local: Trying to open program, get error message TV Room Table Lamp Error loading variables (1) with all programs, they do use state variables. Programs open for editing just fine in the JAVA screen. The status displays correctly on eisy-local but I get the error message when I click on the program.

Someone may have posted this before but it would be nice if the WIKI were updated to add the 'missing' step: After fighting for too long to try to change the default name of a variable to one that was humanly recognizable, I finally found what I had missed, not made clear in the WIKI! Open the appropriate variables page, in my case the state variables. Click on the line of the variable you want to name, it turns red. Click on the name box, which turns white, type what you want for a name (I still don't know must it start with a $ (yes I could have experimented) nor what the maximum length of the name is. But I changed the name in the box The instructions say you must save it, so I clicked on the "save" box on the bottom of the page. But when I closed it and reopened it, it hadn't saved it. Why, because of the missing, not instructed step: After changing it, you must click on the line again (turning the whole line red again) before saving it. Then it will be saved and appear with the new name where it is used. If the WIKI were amended to add that you have to click on the line again after changing the name before saving, it might save people like me from hours of frustration!
This is a belated response to some discussions in the forums before Javi's September 8 post. I am not diminishing the concerns of those who want to keep their ISY-994i boxes working forever. At this point, because of issues with Java including on the Mac, it is imperative that there be a full alternative to the admin console. Now that UDI is fully committed and has a timetable, I am confident that the eisy-ui wil have every bit of functionality that the admin console had, and probably some additional useful features as well.
On the java console, there was a means by which one could define the command for each device within a scene. For example, "default", "on", "set brightness". I don't see this capability in the new UI, nor do I see it in the upcoming builds. Am I missing it somewhere? Edit...nevermind. I found it.
I created scenes in the AC with different powered levels for different dimmer devices but then when I run those scenes or execute programs which contain those scenes, the power level of those devices comes up to 100 percent ignoring the levels that I set. I would appreciate any and all help. Thank you.
My Eisy has the internal Z matter board which is z wave 700. Is there matter board with z wave 800? I do have some matter devices so would need to keep that functionality.
I'm just trying to search for a device or variable through programs. Has a search function been implemented yet? The search (looking glass) only searches through the name list (the auto filter is nice). I'm not seeing any mention of this in the eisy-ui to-do list, so I'm wondering if I'm just not seeing it, or if it's just not there yet. Thanks.
Hi, Please help me figure out what's going on or what I'm doing wrong. Ever since I upgraded to IoX 6.1.2_3 and eisy-ui 1.3.6 a few days ago, the following has happened: 1) I can't purchase or activate anything from PG3x Plugin Store. I click on the button and nothing happens (photo attached). 2) I can't access the Administrative Console with the Java .jnlp file downloaded from eisy-iu (photo attached). 3) My programs involving timed events have been screwy, although that seems to be working out over time. Thanks for any advice. Bob
I recently upgraded from my ISY 994i PRO to the eISY. eISY is runner 6.0.2 been working for a few weeks now. Suddenly my programs started to not run properly. I rebooted the eISY and nothing changed. I am also not able to connect to the eISY thru the launcher, it sees it but will not take the password I had. I did the hold the power button till light is red then three quick pushes of thepower button to reset to the admin password login. That does not work. I cleared all the Java crap and still not able to login. I decided to do a total reset of the unit and held in the reset pin for 30 seconds. Still nothing, admin/admin does not work. Now I don't know if the reset even worked. I did check on this site before placing question here and saw where someone had a non working eISY because it was not registered. When I did the switch over from my ISY 994i I thought I saw something say eISY is registered and thats when it was working up till a few weeks later now. I hope I can get this working again because lots of lights on motion sensors are now not working. Actually nothing is working now.
Showing upgrade is available but versions all match? Upgrade is avail be in Beta though..
My new eisy lite appears dead on arrival. USB adapter is plugged into port marked 12v. There is no led power light. Pressing the power switch does nothing. Am I missing something?
