I was going to upgrade my Apple Watch Ultra 1. However, the watch still works great and claims a 100% battery capacity at over two years old. Trade in value is also somewhat low at $195 relative to the $799 cost of a new Apple Watch Ultra 4. I’m also not in love with the new bands after watching some of the new reviews. Not sure if anyone else has run into this issue yet but ever since updating to MacOS27, sending RCS messages via my Mac Mini is not a thing for some reason. I've signed out of iMessage on my Mac and iPhone, synced messages via iCloud, restarted both devices, verified they're on the same network but nothing has worked so far. I have no problem sending RCS messages to my wife ON my iPhone, I just cant do it from my Mac and I'm kind of stumped as to why.

I view it as a very good thing because it plays roles in preservation, accessibility, and sharing knowledge and culture. Prior to Golden Gate I was using Shift + CMD + Space bar for another shortcut. Now it both uses the shortcut I was using it for and now also triggers the Ask Siri Shortcut. Does anyone know where I can change the ask Siri shortcut. I do not see it in Siri, Spotlight, or Keyboard shortcuts in settings.

I'm not sure if this is a Golden Gate/ iOS 27 thing or a Siri AI thing on top of it, as today is the first day I've put mirroring back on since upgrading both. Swiping down within the mirroring app isn't working, so searching for an app is rather difficult. It just doesn't do anything, get too close to the top of the app and you're just dragging the mirroring app window about... Is it just me?

Worst apple product? That's what this YT describes the AVP, it goes through many reasons. I like how this YTer mentioned that where apple succeeded in a product, it was in a previously established market, i.e., MP3 players were already popular, Apple improved it with the iPod. Cell phones, were well established when the iPhone entered the market. There was no such market for VR headsets, and then pricing it orders significantly higher then other VR headsets was a recipe for disaster... Read more

HomeKit, renamed (Home) finally gets 4K recording for videos!

Hey y’all, I’m having a problem with both of my iMac G3s. I got the first one, a 1999 Blueberry, in October last year. It ran perfectly fine for months until it started making ticking sounds in March, accompanied by a very brief line/distortion on the screen. I stopped using it regularly after that and only powered it on occasionally to investigate the ticking. For the first few days, everything seemed to be going good. But since this morning, the internet has been slow. I’m with Telenet. Normally, my download speed is 450 Mbps. Now it’s sometimes as low as 50. Emails sometimes take a while to arrive and web pages are slow to load. The problem occurs with macOS 27.0 and Wi-Fi, but apparently not with 26.7 and Wi-Fi. Are any of you experiencing this too? For the time being, I’m back to using the boot disk with 26.7.
